the posters have been kind of meh.

but, I have a good feeling about the story. I've read "excerpts" from some of the leaked books on the net. and if the actual film will be anything like the books, especially the ending, then I think I might have to bring some extra Kleenex to wipe my eyes.

don't want to spoil anything..........but yeah. :(

and the true villain!!! :wow:

and I've also heard a tiny bit of Idina Menzel (Elsa) singing "Let it Go." I need to hear the whole song!!!

oh, and I'm totally confused by Elsa's hair color. across the posters, merch, books, etc., sometimes it is blonde and sometimes it is white, even in her "snow queen" state.
That's actually my problem with this film, seems like they're deviating a lot from the original story and taking out some of the most unique and interesting aspects. Like with Tangled i also fear that the masculine protagonist will end up getting too much focus.

I'm excited for this and can't wait for the new trailer!!

From what I've seen, this movie has NOTHING in common with the original story except for the fact there's a snow queen involved. I don't know if they'll even bother with a credit to Andersen's The Snow Queen anywhere since there's pretty much nothing left of it. A shame, because the original story rocks!

I hope that after this movie comes out on DVD, some oblivious mother buys it for her kids, pops it in the DVD player for them and walks away (allowing the TV to be their babysitter for the afternoon), not realizing that she actually bought a copy of Frozen (2010) and her children watch in horror as teenagers get mauled to death by wolves.

Does that make me a bad person?

That made me laugh. Hard.

LOL, glad someone shares my sick sense of humor. :woot:

That's the best kind of humor! :funny:

lol, I did something similar when I was younger. Saw the title Jack Frost on HBO and gleefully turned it on, thinking it was the one with Michael Keaton about the dad who dies and comes back as a magical snowman for his son. Turned out to be the horror movie version.

Just like the woman in the pic, my childhood died that night...

:lmao:

I used to think South Park was a friendly little cartoon when I was like 6.

lmao! Me too, actually. I had the same problems with Futurama, Family Guy and to a lesser extent, The Simpsons.

THIS! When the first concept art for the movie emerged it looked so good. It had this darker vibe from the original story.
Kinda ruined this with the talking snowman.

Did they credit Andersen in "The Little Mermaid"? Disney didn't follow the original Andersen fairytale either...

Disney stay true? That would be a first ever!

This is a story they could actually stay true though, the changes i see here weren't for the better at all.

LOL, yeah. And didn't those movies come out roughly about the same time? I'm sure this happened to a lot of people.

Yeah, they did come out relatively close to each other.

UK full trailer.

Olaf is funny as hell. That ice-chopping scene at 0:33 looks like it's going to be part of a musical number.

Yeah, Olaf is pretty funny, the princess adorable and the animation stunning. Looks good to me.

My favorite scene from the trailer is the shot in the supremely dark forest. Classic dark fairy tale.

Is it just me or does the trailer make it look like the snowman is the star of the movie? It seems to pretty much center around him.

It's a kids movie, of course they are going to give a lot of attention to the wacky sidekick in the trailers and T.V spots.

Nah, not at all. The posters, and first trailer? Yes. This one, no. Everything revolves around Anna.

Have the Tangled trailers taught us nothing? This trailer isn't an accurate representation of the movie as a whole. It's focused on comedy, and Olaf seems like the funniest character in the movie so it's only natural to focus on him in that case. The movie itself will be much more than Olaf and some jokes, though.

The actual Keaton JACK FROST is already a horror show. :wow: I mean, who da hell greenlit this thing? Let's spend an enormous amount of money on CGI for a film about a father that dies and comes back as a Snow Man. Because that's what kids are fantasizing about. Their fathers dying around the holidays and coming back in living snow man form.

I didn't think about how horrifying it was until you put it like that, lol. So sentimental, it just melts the heart. :o

I'm sorry, but that film in particular is just so misbegotten. Makes you wonder about the home lives of the executives and producers in Hollywood.

HOLLYWOOD PRODUCER: "And what's your wish for Christmas, Timmy?"

TIMMY: "I wish you were dead, Dad!"

HOLLYWOOD PRODUCER: "Say... that gives me an idea for a movie. Thanks Timmy."
