From a male perspective I'd actually want to see some heroes been given the limelight. We've had like Aladdin, Simba and Hercules and that's about it. It's funny that Aladdin was Disney's first genuine male lead film and yet Jasmine still gets all the attention lol. That said, there's a reason they purchased Marvel...

In regards to Christophe Beck’s score, it proves to find itself a natural fit for a film, in particular a Disney animated one. ‘Wolves’ proves to be one of the strongest, more suspenseful entry, embellishing the film. Beck also weaves much of Robert Lopez’s melodies into the score, oft providing underscoring themes for both Anna and Elsa with hints of ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman?’ and ‘Let it Go.’ ‘Epilogue’ would serve well as an overture should the film ever find itself adapted for the stage.
In short, a must own for anyone who found themselves eternally chanted by the Ashman-Menken Disney collaborations along with an unapologetic edginess coupled with elements of technical sophistication never dare tried by a Disney film before.
The guy in Tangled actually had more focus than he should in order to help market it more easily to the male audience, and we had Wreck-It Ralph, and we actually have way too many films with a male lead, i think Disney usually offers an interesting answer to that with many female leads. From a male perspective I'd actually want to see some heroes been given the limelight. By the way, Aladdin wasn't the first genuine male lead film, you're forgeting a lot of films like Dumbo, Bambi, Peter Pan, etc.

Can't believe you forgot Tarzan. Or Milo Thatch from Atlantis.I'm talking about the male 'hero' type of lead.
Disney is going to have a good next six months. Outside of the Marvel and Touchstone films, there's this, Saving Mr. Banks and Muppets Most Wanted.
Hearing lots of buzzy Oscar talk for hanks in mr banks.

my kid really liked the horse, Maximus.

Maximus was awesome!!
and the best part about Maximus, and Pascal, is that neither were voiced and they emoted purely through facial expression and body language.
same with the King and Queen.
