That's like a lot of Disney flicks with human characters and animal sidekicks, though.
Pocahontas, Hercules, Aladdin, Mulan, etc.
And that was a nitpick I had with Tangled. I wish the parents would have had voices, but their emotions were properly conveyed so it was fine. I will say that I found the King to be super emotional. Every time he showed his face onscreen, his eyes were wet with tears.
hey.....if you found out your daughter had that much hair......you'd cry too. all the money you'd have to spend on shampoo, hair care, and grooming........


but, I loved the fact that the King and Queen weren't voiced.
for me, it felt like "economy of talent." they didn't overload the movie with big name stars/comedians that stole the show from the principal characters ( Rapunzel, Flynn, and Gothel ).
