That's like a lot of Disney flicks with human characters and animal sidekicks, though.

Pocahontas, Hercules, Aladdin, Mulan, etc.

And that was a nitpick I had with Tangled. I wish the parents would have had voices, but their emotions were properly conveyed so it was fine. I will say that I found the King to be super emotional. Every time he showed his face onscreen, his eyes were wet with tears.

hey.....if you found out your daughter had that much hair......you'd cry too. all the money you'd have to spend on shampoo, hair care, and grooming........:o :oldrazz:

but, I loved the fact that the King and Queen weren't voiced.

for me, it felt like "economy of talent." they didn't overload the movie with big name stars/comedians that stole the show from the principal characters ( Rapunzel, Flynn, and Gothel ).

I liked that they got Ron Perlman to voice the one Stabbington Brother. That name still kills me to this day.

Yeah, the voices weren't necessary.

According to the wiki, Perlman voiced both of the Stabbington Brothers. And that is funny, I didn't know Stabbington was their name.

wasn't one of the Stabbington Brothers mute, though??

Disney has sucked the life-force out of Pixar and is using their power as its own.

We have star wars, marvel, and for the younger boys, Cars and Toy Story/Monsters.

Don't forget Indiana Jones too which Disney also bought with other Lucasfilm.

well, y'know......Jasmine was way hotter than Aladdin........just sayin.......:o :oldrazz:
Definitely man, :hrt: Jasmine is the hottest Disney chick ever and i use to have dirty fantasies about her during my puberty, LOL.

As a fan of Disney over the years since i saw Pinocchio 84 re-issue in theaters at age 3 which was my first movie and Black Cauldron 3 times when i was 4, i am glad Disney is back and i was very pleased with Princess and Frog, Tangled, Winnie The Pooh and Wreck it Ralph. Nice to see now they are focusing on their own animation stuff rather than just the IPs they bought like Pixar, marvel, Muppets, Ghibli and Lucasfilm, now i am fan of those things too

I can't wait to see this.

Now all I crave from them is a hard PG Darkwing Duck movie done via CG and I will quietly die happy.

I'm not sure.

yeah. only one of them spoke, I think. the one with the eye patch never spoke.

so if Perlman voiced both, he didn't have much to do with the other brother......lol

economy of talent.........:o

..........oooooookkkkkkkkkkk.............moving right along........:oldrazz: :word:

in terms of sheer beauty, Belle ranks the highest for me.

but Rapunzel is so gosh darn adorable!!!

Well, he is shooting gas grenades. Which in hindsight could probably be viewed as more deadly than actual bullets if he used certain types of gas.

Ariel's at the top for me, when it comes to beauty.

Nerve gas, anyone? :o

You can't beat this.

My first animated crush!!!

:hrt::hrt::hrt:

yeah......Ariel is right up there with Belle...........

but.......Rapunzel is just so darn adorable!!

Yeah, Rapunzel is adorable. And giving it some more thought, I think Esmeralda is a beauty too. But she isn't a princess.

For me my first animated crush was Adora from She-Ra, Cleo from Heathcliff and Cheetara but Ariel is one of my boyhood animated crushes since i saw LM in theaters when i was 8 years old 3 times.

I also love Demona as well from Gargoyles.

Ooh Esmerelda i dug since i was 14/15 when i saw that movie in theaters and i also had dirty fantasies about her.

And do you agree with me that it's nice to see Disney doing their own things now rather than focusing on the IPs i mentioned?

Yeah, because they could have very easily slacked off on their own animation front to focus on the other IPs. Glad to see them stepping up to the plate with everything they own.

Indeed and i am very pleased with how Disney handled Muppets, Marvel, Pixar, Ghibli and soon perhaps Lucasfilm with Star Wars and Indiana Jones

Yeah, notice how well those did. The only male-centric ones that made money were Aladdin and Lion King. Atlantis is a fanboy fave due to Mignola's involvement.

You forgot Tarzan, it performed very well back in 2000! Just not as big as those two.

For me Pocahontas is still the hottest, probably because she's clearly older than the other female characters. Rapunzel is hot though, she looks like a girl I have a crush on. lol. Jasmine is up there though. If I were an animated character..... :hehe:

You can't beat this.

I always found it hilarious Prince Whatisface was unsure about Ariel. Here's this hot chick who falls madly in love with him and he's like 'She's nice and all, but there might be someone better out there for me'. #idiot. I must say I love the animation of Ariel, she's clearly based of a young Alyssa Milano.

Disney really is solidifying their resurgence in animation it seems. Couldn't be happier.

Tangled & Wreck it Ralph were great and it looks like the early screening reactions from critics has been over the roof. The fact that they've said that this is Disney firing on all cylinders and that this could truly belong among the "Renaissance" era says something.

Ariel is the hot supermodel you pine after and want to date.

Belle is the ideal woman you want to marry and settle down with.

Rapunzel is the adorable, cute girl next door you have a crush on.

at least that's how I'd rate my 3 favorite Disney princesses. :oldrazz:
