Animation Disney's 'Moana'

I'm not surprised that they're making The Rock a massive part of the marketing. Because he's, you know, The Rock. He's a big/popular star right now and he's Mr. Charm & Charisma as well. So I kind of expected them to do this, at least initially.

And the early marketing for Disney films often doesn't exactly reflect what the movie itself is about, or the tone of it. The first teaser tends to be more overtly comedic/lighthearted. The subsequent trailers, well they tend to be more accurate to the actual film.

Now, I kinda feel like watching Lilo & Stitch again.

Trailer was cool. Johnson is actually a compelling VO actor.

The animation looks stunning. I'm sure I'll be blown away when it's on the big screen.

Well how about some gifs of the actual, you know, titular character? :o

The teaser had too much Dwayne Johnson and I was looking forward to the titular character, so its a meh trailer.

I found it to be much better than most of Disney's recent teasers. Frozen's first few teasers were absolutely off putting.

There's gotta be some sort of "Can you smell what the Rock is cooking?" joke.

Agree that I expected to see more Moana in the Moana trailer. She was barely in it, and no hint as to what the movie is actually about. But as was said, the Frozen trailer was the same way.

From what I've heard there are some shenanigans around changing the title in Italy and other parts of Europe due to a popular porn star named Moana.
