you mean the character designes? because the lighting in this movie loks fantastic. it loosk soft and it glows.

Shreks lighting is an insult to the eyes. it looks flat ,doesnt have enough colors and they always use sharp shadows.

Yeah the character designs and the general tone i got from the trailer, you know the whole fairytale spoof we get in shrek. But then again I guess there isnt a lot of story in Rapunzel so you would need to make some additions.

I think the 'paint' look is for the background, which if you pause to take a closer look, does look reminiscent of paintings.

That horse bugs the **** out of me. There's a part in the trailer wherr he looks like he's laughing. This begs the question: why not make the horse TALK? It IS a cartoon, after all.

That is, unless Disney doesn't want Dreamworks to sue them....

im not gonna lie, the little chameleon had me in stitches with the punching his hand thing

i may be 21 now but i grew up with Aladdin, Lion King and stuff so im glad this reminds me of those movies.

this is a normal CGI animated movie. the same techniques are used here like in Pixa and Dreamworks.

i read now somewhere that they changed the director in the last 2 years and tha they decided to make a normal modern movie.

to bad. we need unique looking movies.
