The new trailer will premiere on Yahoo! Movies on Wednesday which is July 8th. So we're gonna get the trailer early guys!

It had this goody tone of keeping humans safe with family hugging and all and then like a voice of Satan the announcer said, "Rated Rrr."

^whoa. I actually feel really bad for the aliens. I wonder how much of them we'll actually see talking. I'd like to see how they interact with one another and humans.

Saa weeet, looks good. Love the part where it looks like a robot catches a car in mid air.

Im a fan of alien movies so, it may be just me.

Also, if this was hyped it right it easily could of been marketed as a big time summer flick.

Wow that was pretty awesome. Like how they are trying to reveal little as possible when it comes to the plot.

The SFX by WETA I presume look fantastic. Those mechas are pretty sweet.

Looks like the aliens from District 9 might be planning to breakout of the sector and gain control of their ship possibly?

Whatever happens, this looks like quite the ride.

Whoa this movie is looking like it may be the sleeper of the summer. That trailer was amazing, and I'm glad they added subtitles and removed the fuzz from the aliens.

Ive been trying to convince my friends to join in my excitement with Avatar and District 9 but they simply scoff and talk about how "good" transformers was. This will show them. A movie with an actual story, an original story i may add.

Assuming District 9 is critically received and enjoyed by the movie going public , I think the Halo project will get the greenlight.

This is an excerpt from an LA times article on that very point:

"Plucked from relative obscurity by Mary Parent, then-production chief of Universal Pictures, Blomkamp, who was working in visual effects and directing commercials and shorts, landed a plum gig for what would have been his directorial debut: the big-budget adaptation of the shoot-'em-up video game Halo to be produced by Jackson.

But when that project imploded in 2006, Jackson decided to "godfather" Blomkamp through the process of directing a film anyway."
