Thought-inducing sci-fi mixed with epic scale. It's about damn time this made a resurgence. The documentary feel is a nice contrast to the conventions of the genre. I'm sure the alien came in very unexpectedly to the audiences as a result of it. Which is good, because it's very rare to see aliens/monsters seen under a "realistic" light, as opposed to cinematic form.

Oh, and can I also say that MS and Fox are morons for not letting this team handle Halo? I'm actually happy they canned it, because now we get this original piece of art. I almost want them to make their own franchise in spite of being screwed over, just so these imbeciles realized they passed on a golden opportunity.

If you're gonna lay blame at least be fair about it. Universal's hands are dirty too.

Just watched the trailer, this looks like a very intersting film. I just watched Alive In Joburg which District 9 is based off, was very good. I also watched Blomkamp's Landfall which was incredible. He seems like a very talented Director.

This movie looks like garbage IMO,watching it felt like it was a parody of sci-fi alien invasion movies,and the aliens? Pathetic,they look like cocaroaches. I thought it was another stupid and excessive patriotic targeted movie,oops. Calling aliens non humans,that's cheesie IMO. I have no interest in seeing this at all but the name of the movie doesn't fit nice enough in relation to what the movie is about.

^District 9 is the little area that all the aliens are forced to live in. I think the title works out great. I've been following this movie for a small while and im truly excited.

Saw the trailer for this last night before Wolverine.

Looks interesting. I thought it was kind of silly they had the alien's face blurred out like in some witness protection video though. I guess they don't want to give away their faces yet which I'm sure will be very bug like.

Can anybody tell if the alien in the trailer is CGI or not. It moves so well, it can't be a suit, but then it looks so real, it doesn't even look like CGI. I guess the special effects are so good, i'm kinda stumped. Anyone know?

Pretty intriguing trailer, doesn't look like any alien film I've ever seen...plus Jackson is involved. Color me psyched.
Aside from Terminator, I'm looking forward to this more than any big budget blockbuster over the summer.

Saw this trailer before Wolvie. I loved it! In the beginning is was getting pissed, because I thought it was another hollywood take on the Iraq war. Then Boom! Alien ship! As people have said very much like cloverfield. Good thing.
