When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was a film about the war in Iraq, I %$£% you not. That's why this trailer blew me away, everyone in the trailer were so damn convincing.

the whole "blurring the face of the alien" thing was really silly. It was clever, I guess, but borderline stupid. Still, I have to say that this movie definitely interests me.

This looks interesting but I don't like how it seems like it's going to shove in your face that not allowing 'illegal aliens' to freely come enter is wrong.

Hopefully there is more to it than that.

I'm wondering, how many of you have actually seen the short film this is based on? which the short film was made by neil as well, which can be seen on youtube,it's practically the reason he was going to direct halo. this guy is awesome, and to be only in his late 20s to be doing this kind of work, awesome. if you think this looks cool, definitely search for him on youtube, he has quite a few amazing short films. anyways I can't wait to see this movie.

lol the aliens in the short film look like mon calamari from star wars (the non ackbar kind) and the aliens in the feature look like geonosians. Not that this doesn't look like one of the most original pieces of work in recent years.

I'm really looking forward to watching this movie.

If District 9 does well both financially and ends up being a fantastic film, I hope its enough to move the halted "Halo" movie project that Blomkamp and Peter Jackson were working on.

Just from the trailer I'm convinced that these two gentlemen can do wonders with Halo's mythology.
