10/10, best movie of the year so far for me, I was absolutely riveted all the way through and couldnt take my eyes off the screen, I have loved other movies this year, but they didnt keep me riveted like this, Sharlto Copley was superb, and Neill Blomkamp is a talent to watch definately, I will be following this guys career very closely.

Excellent movie! A true surprise. Can't wait for the sequel.. I hope they make one.

Haven't really followed this movie at all, but went to see it tonight and thought it was absolutely brilliant.

Is there any news on a possible 'District 10'? :D

for sure they're going to make we just don't know when exactly

i don't need one, they said if it was successfull, the'll make a sequel. movie cost 30 mill and movie has almost made 120mill, that's a lot of profit 4x

He could be talking about D10 here:

Neill Blomkamp said:
I’ve got one science fiction idea that I’m absolutely in love with, which I’m pretty sure is going to be my next film. 99% sure…It’s totally original, it’s my own story…It’s set on another planet, but it’s cool. It’s violent, very violent, and very unique hopefully. We’ll see.

Either way, I'm excited. Very violent sci-fi film set on another planet? **** yeah!

District 9 sequel on the cards reveals Blomkamp

He was asked whether he was planning on having Christopher do as he promised and return to Earth in three years to help Wikus (the lead character who has undergone a life changing transformation at the end of the District 9 into a Prawn himself).
“I do have ideas rattling around in my head, and weirdly enough they’re not to do with what you just said,” said Blomkamp. “They’re different. But, who knows?”

I hope he keeps his promise, then lays waste to humanity.....but Wikus gets to bring his wife and all that.

The more I think about this movie, the better i feel it is, it is definately a movie that stays with you long after your viewing.

Wait, so he's planning a sequel, but it will have nothing to do with Wikus? That sucks!
