divx conversion software

i only need to do one conversion so i don't want to pay for it - only a simple convert so i can burn the file onto DVD. i tried 'super' but it never works for me.

I am researching somethinglike this myself, I seem to be running across some software called "Allock" that - from what I have read - can do it all.

I have an mpeg4 file I want to put onto a disc so I am in somewhat of the same boat with you. if I find out more I will share.
