Why don't you like this practice? they show up for one day of filming or whatever and then you get a high quality interaction, cameo or character piece in the film.
Chris Walken's appearance in Pulp Fiction is now legendary, that is probably the best example of this practice in his flicks...Steve Buscemi had a nice wee cameo in Pulp, although it didn't really bring anything to the movie I must admit, same as SLJ's cameo in Kill Bill vol2...but as far as I can tell this would have been more along the lines of the Walken role.

I love the Buscemi cameo in Pulp Fiction, just because it's so easy to miss. I didn't even realize it was him the first couple times I saw the movie.

I find it distracting and I get disappointed of the lack of screen time. However Walken does alot in that scene, so I was fine with that.

Those fan posters from a few months ago really called it with the aesthetic of the marketing the film actually eventually went with. I must applaud them.

^Maybe not. The QT DVDs usually use the one-sheets for their cover art, right? This is just a teaser, but it's possible that we'll get a cover that actually looks decent.
