Do dreams mean something?

What was her number doing in a bathroom stall:wow:

oh wait... is she?...that doesn't suprise.
oh. i'm so sorry to tell you this.
i called her and i DID have a "good time" just like the note promised.

I hope its not possible for dreams to be precognitions you know... I've had some very explicit dreams about various Xmen before now.

if they are, then my life is going to get very interesting with this recurring dream

But can't you say that about everything in life

being born and then dying seem to be the only thing definite in our lives.
not necessarily just based on cause and effect...

based on these's one can hypothesise something that is more likely to happen than another thing based on a given statistical distribution of the likelihood of an event occuring during an allocated timeframe.

true death and birth are the only things that are truelly certain but there are things and events that can help prolong one's lifespan as long as unaccounted anomoly doesn't get in the way.

so it's not truelly a waste of time.

The truth of the matter is that a dream should not have any direct influence into one's life. tada....

unfortunately it does...

yes yes. i have had the most realistic (and most satisfying) sex dream about Spike Speigel from Cowboy Bebop and i take that to mean that we indeed belong together and will eventually end up together.:o

trust me, it was so good that when i woke up i rolled over and looked at my boyfriend and felt guilty.

I love it when dreams are that good. Especially when you can still feel the physical effects when you wake up.

That dreams can influence "one's life" is not an unfortunate occurrence. Point in fact, dreams tend to prevent misfortune when they're comprehended early.

Perhaps you should expand your definition of "one's life" to include all moments and levels of awareness, including dreaming.

haha!
yeah. like when you wake up with the pillow stil in between your legs and you're biting the sheets.:cwink:

Well dreams for me are simply another form of etertainment, not to be taken any more seriously than a drama or a piece of sci-fi fiction.

Just as plenty of people are governed by fictional programmes and half truths realities showcased on the tv, i feel the same occurs with dreams...

For someone to be unable to deal with a sniggly piece of their live so much that it has to become pictorially represented within a dream in order for them to realise it in the first place is indeed unfortunate.

I don't need a dream to tell me that i'm unhappy in a relationship, or that i have yet to let go of a lost love or parental figure, I'm pretty wise to figure that out on my tod.

dreams are merely a picture book for those who are unable to self analyse themselves properly where a step by step guide breaks down their own views on a subject.

I've never learnt anything about myself from a dream i didnt already know, which is why i personally find the insight into them pretty dreary...

no offence, i know this is your big thing, dreams and all...

You'll understand things better, with time.

When I sleep, all of me sleeps; nothing goes bump in Jimmy's night.

I had a dream one night that there was almost an entire town living inside this huge silver sphere thing with water all around it (like it was in the middle of the ocean).

Then like, 6 months later Hurricane Katrina happend and a crap load of people were living inside of the silver dome while New Orleans was flooded. I thought it was pretty creepy.

I always have wierd dreams but I never remember them:dry:

I dreamed about a Terminator Snake, It was cool...

It meaned I should change my pillows...

if you don't mind, could you please elaborate on this?

All i'm saying is that people will allow themselves to be governed by factors and issues which i don't feel have any correlation to wide awake reality simply because they want to believe.

'If you will it, it is no dream...'

a famous quoted used in the big lewbowski, it's stayed with me over the years because i believe its true and it certainly relates to this case.

I'm pretty sure my dreams from when I was young foretold my future.

they were like warnings that I ignored and now I'm ****ed.

I don't beleive dreams mean anything but if they do we're in trouble because I had one where Bill Gates ruled the world and Donald Trump was his right hand man.

Do dreams mean something? Depends. Like if you are having a sex dream about someone, that mean you are really into that person.

Not necessarily; I've ocassionally found myself dreaming about naked ladies whom I normally would not even want to see naked.

:word: :word: :wow: :wow: :word: :word:

According to Freud, every dream is an unfulfilled wish.
