Sequels Do Spider-Man's foes have to be connected to him?.

Of course Spider-Man's enemies don't have to have a personal connection with him. If they want to make a villain with a connection, then they should just pick a villain with a connection that's already been established in the comics.

The problem is that now his father worked for Oscorp, a company that will probably be responsible for most of the villains that appear in the Spider-Man movies. So chances are he will have some kind of connection to the villains, unless they simply "Hire" a bad guy to kill spider-man or something.

Yes because this is how they do it in the comics and the Reason is easy in Marvel Comics universe There are many and I mean many super heroes in New York

so writer gives the villain connection with Peter what makes Spider-Man feels They are his responsibility to explain why the villains are Spider-Man villains and not the other super heroes in the city

In NYC there is Spider-Man, the Fantastic 4, Daredevil... um who else lives in NYC? The X-Men are upstate, but I don't think that counts for the city.
