The response to what I am about to say should be interesting.
No, because I choose to believe that God created us and everything on this planet and the planet itself. Plus everything else in existance in the universe.
Also, I said "monkeys" as a general term. I guess I should have said primate. Sorry I just haven't studied all the different species of monkeys, apes, chimps, etc.
We arent discussing generosity. We are discussing intelligence.I think giving us 3% of the universe as inhabitable is being extraordinarily generous.
I am well aware that my opinion isn't the popular one, but it's what I believe and I have the faith God created everything. I don't pretend to know why He created everything the way He did, but it's not for me to question. I'm sure that some people will attack my intelligence level, but that's OK. I don't have anything to prove to anyone.
Oh lol yeah youre most likely right about that.I think you misunderstood me. I wasn't saying god was being generous, I was saying you were being generous.
I think it's more like .000000000000000000000000000000003% of the universe is inhabitable to humans.

Actually it's what most of the world believes (well, with the world being created by their specific deity).
If you wish to remain uneducated, that's your right.
There are a couple of different ways that the ancients thought the stars and night sky were. Some ancient Israelites believed that the stars were points of like poked into a giant black surface that showed the light from the Heavens coming through. The ancient Greeks thought that the stars were made from the stuff found in the private parts of Zeus' father when he took over Mount Olympus.

I'm not offended by it at all, it's just not what I believe. It's quite simple, God created man and woman because He spoke it, and it happened. Nothing complex about it.You say you believe God created everything. Why couldn't your God have created evolution? I only ask because I'm genuinely curious as to why so many people reject evolution. Do you find it offensive that we emerged from microbes and muck. And that apes are our cousins?
Nah, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter. Like I said, it's not for me to question why God did things the way He did.Now granted, I doubt there's anything I can say to change your mind.
But you don't find anything suspect about all those ancient dead animals, many of which bear a close resemblance to us?
You don't find it odd that the universe is so poorly designed?
You never wondered why lifeless planets like Venus and Mars exist?

Sometimes I wish I could be this willfully naive. I mean that with no disrespect. Between my ridiculous OCD, and my need to understand how everything works I've never been able to just say "oh, well it is the way it is because it is."
