The latest episode of my podcast where we talk the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie in a new series we’re starting called ‘Is it really that bad?’:

Anything He-Man and I'm there. Will give it a listen after work tonight.

Yeah, the 1987 was bad on a number of levels, but if it was saved, it was saved by Frank Langella and Meg Foster. Dolph Lundgren didn't do a bad job either, when you think about any number of meatheads they could have gotten to play that role. As a writer myself, I had to admit it's not a badly written movie for a 1980s fantasy property.

Knew you'd both be on top of that. :cwink:

You know me too well :woot:

Thank you so much.

Haha well I’ll let you hear my thoughts on the episode :woot:

Decided to try some of the Amazon Prime sample packs. Got one for my dog with treats, and can foods for $11.90. Which gave me $11.90 in credit towards items in the sample pack, so I got him 2 beef marrow treat packs. But I had to order $25 worth for that order. The $11.90 got deducted, so only paid $15 with free 2 day S&H.

Anyway, bring it up because A) My dog loved the samples, and treats. B) I'm loving Amazon Prime, and wished I got it earlier. C) I filled up the last $15 of the order with an assorted pack of Japanese junk food.

Time to taste test.

The beef marrow treat packs are the best; they have a nice umami flavour that goes well with a full-bodied ale.

Ehem, taste test the Japanese junk food assorted pack. Not the bone marrow treats. Though my dog does make them look tempting.

That's Quitley art, right?

Since I'm getting ready to riv up the climax of my book, and I'm at 66k words, I'm estimating my total words will wind up around 85k. Seems like it's moving along real quick now too, I hope I can have this first draft completed within 2 weeks. Then I can pause, mull over some illustration ideas, gather info from beta readers, then go over everything editing it into a second draft. Then the hunt is on for a professional editor :P

I think my pace helps from having scripted the whole thing first for a graphic novel. I feel like I'm taking an open-note test, lol.

At least you're actually writing. I haven't written anything in a while. :(

It's all I can do, really. It's too stupidly hot to go outside for recreation, and takes money to do anything, and I don't got that :P

So happy I didn't have to turn the air conditioner on at work today. Came close, but didn't

It was cooler here today, but not enough to shut the AC off. :(

Rain today here but this summer has been the craziest for a long time.

It got down into the 50s last night where I live. Today it was in the 80s. NC weather is so damn bipolar.

I'll try the one in England first.

You don't know what you're missing. It's only a little over an hour away from me and right next to the Daniel Boone National Forest. A real pretty area.

I'll do my best to go there.

Never been to either, but I would also rather see London England first.
