Did anyone see this film in theaters when it came out? If so do you remember the audience reaction? I remember it like yesterday! I will tell you all the story later!

The audience never seemed to go "HUH?" but they went "Haha" sometimes.

i went to the premiere in my home town i had to win a contest to get the tickets. contest was at a beach a batsymbol sandcastle contest, was freaking awesome :)
i went with my parents and the kid from next door, i dressed up in my Batman costume. at the time i loved it but now i think it's terrible.

i'll probably watch it tonight for old times sake :)

I remember seeing it in a packed cinema. I hated the fact that there wasn't a single good action scene, that everything was so gaudy and cartoonish, and that Robin no longer had his Forever costume.

Couldn't tell if the audience liked it or not - as always with English audiences. They just file out afterwards, indifferent. Lol.

I remember going to see this and becoming quite distraught at it all. I was 11 and it was so hyped up that everyone I knew, even the girls, wanted to see it.

i remember seeing it when i was like, i don't know...11 maybe? And i was psyched out about seeing another Batman movie, particularly with Mr. Freeze...then I saw the opening credits with the zippers and even at that age i was like "what the hell" and then at the end when he kissed poison ivy i just started laughing, particularly when they took care of bane.

i still remember when i went to the cinema, there were about 30 people and after the first half i was alone with some friends. we kept waiting for the film to become good, but it did not, and so we also left before the ending credits.

so i remember b&r to be a really bad film. but because of this little anyversery i gave it a second chance yesterday (for i have the bat-box).

and to my big surprise i found it quite entertaining! maybe enough time has passed, so that there is no need for us fans to be angry anymore and we can relax, sit back and watch a funny movie. actually if i had to choose between begins and b&r for a nice dvd evening i would watch b&r now. of course, if i would like to watch a BATMAN movie i would watch begins.

but honestly, i was surprised about the darker moments i did not notice in the cinema. and arkham asylum looks awesome!

think about that: maybe its all about contrast; a dark knight in a neon bright city might be way more effective. too bad that there was no dark knight in this movie, i think george sucks as batman, and you can´t blame schuhmacher for that.

but still, forever is WAY better.

oh, and uma is absolutely fantastic! if i only had a bat-visa-card too...

I saw it with a bunch of other kids for a friends birthday party. Un-happy anniversary Batman & Robin... I had a big crush on Alicia for a while afterwards though.

I'm going to watch it right now to celebrate. Oh wait....no I'm not. :)

I saw it when it came out. I can't remember the audience reaction, but I remember walking out extremely pissed. The first and only time I've ever been pissed off at a movie.

I went to a midnight preview show on Thursday night. Half the theater actually applauded at the end! The other half froze mid-exit and stared at the clapping fools. :woot:

The most memorable moment for me was when Robin said "Rubber lips are immune to your charms!" It's the moment when I couldn't take it anymore. I stamped my feet and said "THIS IS CRAP!" out loud. A group of people around me applauded my opinion, which was definitely the high point of the evening.

Now why didn't Alicia Silverstone get a nipple suit!??!

All hands down, the greatest thing about this movie was Uma Thurman's performance. Even when the acting or dialogue came out mediocre, you had a great body to drool over.
