Don't know if there's a thread already for this or not, don't care since it's too early to care anyway.

Well, I start off. I like my job pushing carts at Wal-mart part-time. Decent enough hours, decent pay, times goes bye, free water, 10% off discount card.

Don't like it though when it is busy in the parking lot, or when we are short handed on cart pushers (and right now, we are).

I work in printing, we print those Walmart flyers...it's 12 hours at night from 7:30pm to 7:30am. I work sunday-tuesday with every other saturday off. I make a living for myself,it's not a bad job.Better than a desk job staring at the wall getting fat.

 wait, just Sun-Tues you work? Only three days, correct?

Didn't know...:huh:what Wal-mart flyers?

I also work in printing.

I like the job i just dont like the people i work with :D

3 nights on in a row,then every other saturday..So 3 on,3 off,4 on,4 off...What Wal-Mart flyers? The sunday inserts,we do other flyers as well,home depot,lowes,Dick Sporting goods,Sears Hardware ect...

I like my co-workers, they seem nice. Management is kinda scary, but that is because they control whether I keep my job or not, you know. They have more of a say than I do in many ways. But they are nice, too.

Um, you mean flyers in newspapers?

yes. Don't let walmart management scare you,it's a dead-end job to begin with. You can always find another.

'Do you enjoy your job?'

Does a bear sh;t on a toilet?

Do I enjoy my job? Yeah, I guess I do on some days. I work at a movie theatre as a doorman. Our job is to tear tickets, keep the theaters clean, keep the lobby clean, and if need be, help concession by changing out the sodas and helping them put popcorn into popper.

I don't enjoy cleaning up after adults or anything, but I guess I enjoy being busy and working with some of the people, you know? They had to cut back on the hours for all employees as of late. So I'm not used to working lesser hours and when I come home I'm easily bored and everything.

But as a whole I enjoy working on the dead days/nights. Hardly anyone shows up because kids are at school and people are actually working.

No, not really. I do enjoy working with the people I work with though. If that makes sense.

I'm another printer. Currently I'm working in downtown Boston as a temp in the smelly, unventinated, non-window-having print room of a major investment firm.

I feel a little piece of my soul dying each day. :csad:

That sounds about right. What company do you work for? Boston Globe?

Wal-Mart promotes within. I have a better chance of becoming manager there one day...heck even working inside in toys or something than my screenwriting career taking off.

my current "job" is studying. Do I enjoy it? Depends what I'm studying. I like my accounting and psychology courses. Physics is alright, but organic chem sucks.

Well thinking like that isn't going to land you a screenwriting job now is it?

Pre-med?

When I was working (I quit recently) it was a love-hate relationship with my job. Loved the work most of the time, loved most of the people I worked with (most of the times), just couldn't stand the BS-ness that came with working at a crap hospital.
