Do you feel an interest for GR out of geekdom?

On one hand, I thought the trailers looked pretty good and the character has an unquestionable natural appeal - especially with teen males, I believe - but do you feel an interest for it out of comic book geeks? Now we´re pretty close to release, it´s time to feel if there´s an average moviegoer demand for it? Your friends, family, people from work say anything?

yeah, it's all comicbook hype me thinks, everyone i know either doesn't give a rat's ass or simply isn't interested...

after going to the cinema yesterday, it didn't stir up any cheers or laughs, hot fuzz got all of those...

I've shown this trailer to all my friends, and even family, all of them have shown interest in watching it, but not at the same amount of anticipation for lets say, Transformers (another hard sell outside of geekdom).

Even though I now enjoy the trailer, I am overall dissapointed of how they are advertising this film in the theatres. I have been to the theatre to watch half a dozen films, and not one of them had the Ghost Rider trailer, not even Sony Picture films like Bond. I have seen the Spiderman 3 trailer at least 3 times in the movies, and have even seen 300 twice, but no Ghost Rider. Whats up with that?

I suspect Transformers´appeal goes beyond geekdom, a lot of kids grew up watching the show and collecting the toys.

I'm movin' this to the non spoilers, just so you know...

I've been sucessfull in turning my friends onto this movie. Most of these people have no idea who Ghost Rider is but, they're pumped to see the movie. Of course, they're about ready to kill me for the amount that I talk about it...

I've noticed an increased interest in some of the local bikers...im seeing GR's flaming Skull on more and more jackets and patches these past few weeks, and even saw a biker riding with a cloth skull mask on up in Charlotte yesterday morning (the weather was very cold and he was protecting his face)...it looked extremely eerie and cool...

I bet GR has a GREAT opening weekend!
