Do you open your MM Dark Knight figures?

I have all 7 of mine opened but I also have doubles of all the figures except The thug and Regular Dark Knight Batman MOC.

I like a few others on here, prefer to buy doubles so I can open one and keep the other MOC. I've become rather OCD about it lately. Thanks to help from ZODIAC, I'll have me an MOC Joker soon enough. :)

-They look better. Some packages are nicely designed, but nothing beats seeing the figure in it's natural state. You can pose it however you like, you can look at it in greater detail, etc. Plus, sometimes the way the figure itself is posed in the packaging is ridiculous and unflattering. The MM Joker's pose is a perfect example - he looks like he's dancing or something! Take him out, lift that knife (or even better, swap it out for a gun like I did!), and lower his head to make him look scary and dangerous.
I agree. My problem wasn't with his pose, but with his giraffe neck! I couldn't believe they'd given him a neck that long.. but then I took him out of the package and realized that the neck isn't the problem at all, it's the way they have the head posed. Like you said, if you lower his head, he looks much more intimidating.. not to mention just better all around.

I opened my Joker. Didn't wanna wait 5 years just to sell him for $30.

I don't generally open alot of my figures because I like them MOC not because of possible future appreciation. I think it's a matter of personal preference. I've never bought or sold anything on EBay ever, so it's not because I think they might appeciate in value (they're mass market toys at the end of the day, there's plenty of better, safer ways to make a return on your investment) but I keep them MOC because I like how they look in the package.

That said I've a large Doctor Who collection opened and the figures get dusty and keep falling over, so they've become a pain to look after so that's another influence on my choice as well. I mainly keep 3 3/4 inch figures like Star Wars, Infinite Heroes and the upcoming Hasbro Marvel line MOC as they'll take up less room.

For me, not only is it the fact that the chase figures are rare, but also that fact that i already have nearly the same figure on my shelf, however slightly different.

On my shelf, I open the worthless ones (BB Bats, Scarecrow, TDK Bats) and have Fear Toxin Batman and Joker in their package. If I get another Joker or Fear Bats, I will open them and leave the other ones in the back on display

I have managed to get my hands on a Dark Knight armor Batman my loving Mom got me :D, Batman Begins suit, Scarecrow off eBay (reasonable prices $9 each) and my lovely girlfriend got me a Joker (although I only had him for like a few days because I tried to glue his head in a certain position because yes..he does look like a tool if his head is a certain way...and it ended up breaking...SOOO ****ing pissed!) but...BUT what I'm getting at is...

...all of these figures are works of art...beautiful. I take action figures I really love and always buy doubles...one to play with (yes that's right, I said PLAY with! :)) and one just to keep in the package just in case of emergency. (although with these Movie Master action figures I'm planning on buying 3 of each because I love them so much!)

I will never want to resell my figures to be honest, they are for my personal enjoyment. Do what you like though...I think anyone would have fun if they gave the figures a nice playing around with :D
