Do You Read On The Toilet?

I have always found it weird that so many people claim to read on the toilet be it a book or on their phone. When I drop the kids off at the pool I'm in and out in less than 2 minutes 99% of the time so I have never understood the whole reading while I'm in there thing. Does it really take most of you a long time to take a dump or is it more of quiet space to relax?

Well this thought has occurred to me on many occasions. Reading while taking a dump is a common trope in TV and movies as well as stand up comedy. I just saw a meme about it on Bookface the other day. It seems to be ingrained into the conscience of the people and I wanted to know if I was the weird one for not doing it or if there really are people that spend several minutes on the throne and need to read something
