I was reading an article in a back issue of Readers Digest that claimed singing is good for your health.

So, now I'm wondering, how many Hypesters sing?

in the car, to myself, in the shower, basically whenever im listening to music. i cant help it. i dont think ive got an angelic voice exactly, but **** it, it's fun.

I share these sentiments.

I'm not in a choir currently, but I've been in quite a few. Singing is one of my favorite things to do.

Mostly to my daughter. She seems to like it, so it is pretty clear she is tone deaf.

In the car. I'm learning all of the lyrics to "It's the end of the world (as we know it)"

I've sang for a few bands, and solo projects (of course).
Mostly hardcore stuff though, so I wouldn't really take that as any indication that I can actually "sing" (haha).
I find that it helps me quite a bit at getting things of my chest, and helps deal with any emotions I may not be able to release other ways.

In the car, with the volume up pretty high. I also move around a little. I'm sure I make for quite the spectacle for other drivers at stop lights, especially when "Best For Last" by Adele comes on my mp3 player. Not a song you see a lot of black guys sing.

I put professionally because I'm in school for that purpose.

Yes. I used to sing in choir, did solo performances, and used to be the lead singer at my church in high school. I also sang solo in college for a while and was encouraged to be a vocal major, but chose not to. Nowadays, I sing in the car and shower and by myself, but I really miss getting to sing in public.

Yep. And a small glass of chocolate milk, not so good for the voice, but I'm on vocal rest anyway, so who gives a ****?

I see...

I'm fairly certain that body cells can actually explode due to an excessive consumption of water...

In the past I had never had the confidence for singing, all up until about a year ago.
Its one of the most liberating experiences you can have.

Sorta. But only while I'm alone and on the computer or in the shower or doing homework and it drives everyone in my house off the wall. :woot:
