I recently was part of an evening at a karaoke bar, and believe it or, I sang! And I'm not one to brag much, but I did pretty well at it too.

Any of you other Hype folk have vocal abilities?

Well, it's not much and it's not glamorous but I do like to sing along to the music on my laptop. I've been into Sia an awful lot lately and have been learning Chandelier and Elastic Heart. I wish I could sing for you guys but you'd need to be here where I am on a day I feel like singing, like Sundays when my mom and nephew are at church.

Do I sing? Yes.
Do I sing well, or in public? Nope. :p

I've been known to dabble in a little primal shrieking from time to time.

I sing like an angel...being tortured.

Everytime I make a credit card purchase.

Unless it's online.

Also, when receiving a contract sometimes.

I sing, I put my singature.

Same as Quasimodo, for me. I like singing along to my fav songs, but it tends to sound terrible! I do find there are some songs that are easier to sing somehow? I do an okay rendition of Soft Cell's Tainted Love.

My friends tell me I sound like Beyonce.

I'm excellent at lip syncing. Sometimes at work, I just break out into song (when no one is around)

I karaoke and do a lot of musical theatre, including a couple of rock opera roles. I've got a really powerful voice, which is weird, because I'm asthmatic and didn't know I could sing until I was 22.

I love to sing Karaoke, but would never be paid to sing on a stage.

I also go carolling with my sister(s) (this year only one of them could make it but usually there are 3 of us and our friends).

I've sung in church choirs too, and been part of duets with one of my sisters many times.

I prefer to sing fast dance rock / pop. I let other people sing the slow, maudlin, country stuff.

I'm a low saprano (?sp?).

The songs I sang on my recent karaoke adventure..

  • Lyin' Eyes
  • Always On My Mind
  • I've Got You Under My Skin
  • Pretty Woman
  • Are You Lonesome Tonight

I'm a dramatic contralto with a raspy head voice and bad technique (couldn't afford singing lessons and I was too ashamed of my voice for choir). I personally hate my range because I cannot sing many of my favorite songs as they are all sung by sopranos. Damn you Kelly Clarkson for being a great singer and having great songs! :argh: But I'm trying to write and record an album with my brother-in-law as the producer. He has a metal (garage) band and he's agreed to let me use his equipment to record some songs for an EP. All my free time went towards school, so I haven't done anything but write lyrics. I tried submitting a video of my singing to The Voice, but didn't hear back from them (I assume I got rejected).

You could also try some of her easier songs like Big Girls Cry or Eye of the Needle, but if you want some passion like Chandelier you should check out Fire Meet Gasoline or Straight For the Knife. You should also check out We Are Born, her last album, I'm in Here is great but really dark and Clap Your Hands is so fun.

Sing "I Love You Like a Love Song"

The worst is when your parents walk in on you... :o

Hardly at all, I hate the sound of my own voice. :funny:

I have a decent voice. I was part of an a capella group in high school and starred in a musical (though I admitted wasn't very good :oldrazz:). Would love to continue both in college.

I sound like someone is strangling a goose... So no, I don't sing. In public.

I sang in a rather popular punk band for 14 years, as well in it's second generation for 7 years... Sooooooooo, having said that, I sing rather badly...lol

:yay:

Also, all kinds of words kick me into song....
Drives my friends, family & coworkers nutz....lol

:yay:

I sing when I'm alone in the car, and on the occasional drunk karaoke night with friends.

I appreciate your help but I do sing effortlessly to most Tarja Turunen fronted Nightwish songs like Passion and the Opera (I love the opera part better.) or The Siren. Chandelier and Elastic Heart are within my range.

i very rarely sing along to music when i'm listening to it, and if i do, i'm all alone in my car lol

that said, i cannot sing, but very much wish that i could
