I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's not horrible either. It's decent but that about sums it up.

No it's really painfully horrible.
I saw them on PBS and tried to watch to see what Phantasm saw in them and I couldn't do it. I had to keep changing the channel for a breather, then I'd come back and try again, last a few seconds, then get bad goosebumps and feel like someone was scratching a chalkboard with their fingernails and have to change the channel again. I finally gave up after a while.

Some people are more passionate about music and it effects them more deeply than others. (obviously, read the article here).
Like, two friends and I meet for coffee a lot. One of 'em, if Reggae starts playing, I thought he was kidding at first, but he'll insist that we go to another coffee shop, 'cause it's so painful for him.

Hey, I hear ya, I just think there are way worse "artists" out there than Coldplay. At least they aren't at boy band or ****ty no talent hack levels. Hehe.

And, it wouldn't matter if you don't like Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and David Bowie. They're still the best.

Indeed, they are. Athough, it's easy to list the best and hide behind them.

I like them a lot. I like the way the drums are recorded (which I know is weird), and Martin's song writing, as well as the band's atmospheric sound.
