I do not, I walk fairly regular but I don’t hit the gym.

My Facebook and Instagram however, are filled with gym nuts always posting pictures of themselves working out and sweating.

Yes. Bodyweight circuits and some dumbbell/barbell work. And no, I'm not the sort of **** that posts gym selfies. Get in, get it done, get out.

As far as I'm concerned, a workout is for one thing. Working out. It starts with that, it ends with that, and that's all there is in the middle. It's not for socialising, it's not for posing, and it sure as **** is not for taking 'selfies'.

Not at the moment, coz of bloody Covid.
But I’ve been working hard to get rid of all the lockdown weight I put on.

When the gyms reopen, I’m intending to go back.

I did, then covid struck, restrictions were put in place and the gyms closed, then the restrictions were relaxed, the gyms reopened and I went back, and then restrictions were tightened again and here I am, waiting...

I'm between running - for cardio, and now with the warmer weather I'm out on the bike cycling quite a bit, and walking. I am keen to get back to weight training though - more for resistance training and maintenance especially as I'm wanting to get ahead of my aches and pains.

No. I probably should. Before Covid, I didn't particularly feel the need for it because my job usually involved walking at least 12 miles a day. But the past year I've either been stuck at home or doing very little at all at work.

Currently doing a mix of GMB elements and Dr Rusin’s workouts. They are both pretty awesome

I'm pretty good about going to the gym for 2-3 months and then not going for the following 6. I've started going again just 2 days a week but I've seen some changes already. If I can keep going through summer I'll break that chain. Never been one to take gym pictures for social media lol

I’m back at my gym now it has reopened. Doing three days a week: Mon, Wed, Fri.
Manly strength training, with a little cardio at the beginning to warm up, 15-20 minutes stretching at the end to finish.
I have a x-trainer at home that I use 1-2 times a day (Mon-Sat) and I try to go for a daily walk of between 2-4 miles if the day allows.
When it is a gym day, I only use the x-trainer once and forego the walk.
Sunday is now a rest day for me.

I feel so much better than at the beginning of this year... But that’s a whole other story! :yay:

I workout but I don't flex for the gram.

I exercise as part of just trying to live a healthy lifestyle. I go to the gym three times a week to lift weights and do some cardio which with a balanced diet keeps me in reasonabley good shape.

I got friends and family who are far more into fitness than me. Got some real swole relatives.

Promised myself i gonna start doing that in a new year

As I've said in the Hype Fitness thread, I never go to the gym or anything, but I usually work out on my Spin Bike around 2 and a half to three hours on most days, followed by a bit of weight training or Circuit training. I am, by no means, a big guy or anything.

The last time I went to the doctor, they said I was 5 feet, 9 inches or so and 130 pounds. So I guess that falls within a healthy BMI number.

I was almost this exact height/weight in high school during cross country seasons (I was 5’10” 130lbs.) But I would always hit weights and bulk to 150+ in off season.

Unless I am running over 10 miles a day, I could never stay at that weight. And even with running 6-8 miles a day at my current age of almost 48, I struggle to maintain the 170s, and I’m currently pushing 190. So to maintain at 130 is pretty impressive to me.

My youngest son works out like a madman. He runs track and lifts ever day. But he doesn’t take in much in terms of calories so he is currently 5’9” and 125lbs.

I used to go to the gym but quit due to my job. I have a rotating shift schedule, so it is difficult to find time for the gym. I'm thinking about buying a Peloton bike and working out at home.
It's a good investment, although you could probably find a bike a lot cheaper than a Peloton on Amazon. That's what I did. The bike I have only cost around $250, I think.

A lot less than Peloton, which usually go for $2000 or so.

I bought a cheap treadmill from Sams Club years ago and ran on it for nearly ten years before the motor died out. I liked the investment at the time. But at the end, the belt kept slipping, which was kind of a pain (and dangerous.)

Now I have a cheap gym membership at Planet Fitness with my son. I’m a fan of that as well.

I’ve started doing arm weights which is fun, nothing too serious. Just something to do while I watch tv. Seeing good results slightly already though!

I'm delaying it because of the temperature (almost 35°C every day) and I'll be the death of me.

For now I'll stick to: I'm built for comfort, not for speed.
