Basically, if someone heard you talk, bad grammar or slang included, is that how you write when it comes to anything from writing notes, to posting on message boards, to even schoolwork? I remember back in high school we had reports to write, and I remember a few people actually wrote like they spoke, and this report, which wasn't meant to be artsy and what not, as it was on historical figures. It was hilarious, yet kinda sad considering they didn't know how to switch it on and off when it came to that. I may throw some slang into informal things like posting or notes if need be, but for the most part I try to make the grammar impeccable when I write. :awesome:

It just depends on the situation I guess. For school, it all comes down to whoever the professor is I'm writing for. Some encourage that you implement your own style (which I tend to do) while others freak out at any subtle deviation from what they require.

As far as my writing style goes, I'm just like a drunk adrift in the ocean - I go where ever the flow takes me. In this case, the flow being the professor.

On here though, most definitely, I like to post how I talk. I'm no robot son.

I type like I talk because that's just the way it is.

You see, all my typos are intentional, because that's how I talk. I also use emoticons a lot:up:

I don't be talkin' like dis all da time... only when I be gettin' gully.

No, I speak Norwegian... :p

Most of my written stuff is now work related so it's a lot different. If I write for fun it usually comes out to be similar to the way I think, not so much talk.

When I think... I have a different accent with each thought.

For me, it depends on my mood. My speech patterns are subject to that change; also, my writing tends to reflect the same approach.

It depends on the situation. For the longest time when I was here I would put whatever pops into my head and have it only separated by many ellipses. It was mostly because I was too lazy, but I also didn't care.

I speak a mix of gangsta and Ace of Knaveon.

i hates me some cozzers. Me and my mates aint down with that. You can take a pisser ya filthy flarn bloke. Word! :woot:

What I type is the same way I talk.

Aye yo lil mamma whaddup wit dis question?

No, no I do not type like I talk.

You could expect to hear anything I type come out of my mouth. I'll even type "like" or "um" where I'd say them in the sentence.

Do you write like you talk?
Of course.

Unless I'm writing dialogue, of course :oldrazz: but yeah, I hate it when people abuses of fancy words they don't use in the real life (I'm looking at you, pretentious reviewers)

I write and speak the exact same way. Whenever you see me throw periods in the middle of my sentences or suddenly jump to a new paragraph for no reason, that's indicative of my "dramatic pauses." And yes, I use air quotes.

I use air quotes too! I even differentiate between ' and " while air-quoting. I use thumbs up quite a lot as well.

I use pelvic thrusts to accentuate my point.

I try to write the way I talk... but I sure don't say 'lol' in normal conversation.

HellLz to the YiZzZeah.

Usually only when I'm really stoned. :o

Yeh, they're very similar, depending on the situation. But generally I do.

I usually say, "Yo dawg, I heard you..." before every sentence in real life, but I hold that back on SHH. So, no, I don't.

I try to write the way I talk... but I sure don't say 'lol' in normal conversation.
That reminds me:

I never say stuff like "L.O.L." or "lawl" or "L.M.A.O." in real life. I ****ing laugh. If you say "lawl" instead of actually laughing out loud, I do believe that makes you a liar.
