I honestly do believe this whole going green idea is a real big money spinner to change habbits on something we really have no control over.
It's not really up to the individual, if higher authorities like governments and supermarkets forced green down our throats and gave us no other alternative, we'd have to all adjust. That's much better than the drivel of taking self responsibility because clearly not everyone cares so it's in vain.
All in all, the real big areas of change are needed in the manufacturing industry and in power stations.
They are all saying we should change to cars that run off spit but the energy and pollution required to make a single new vehicle is more than that of running your old vehicle for life so where is the logic behind that?
Besides, one minute there are adverts telling us to be sensible with energy and the next the very same companies are telling us to by their 50 inch nuclear powered plasma screen tvs. Not very sensible. Why not tell us to stop being lazy and switch the tv off because we aren't watching anything important.
or *gasp* design tvs without standby options so they don't complain about us using it and being inefficient.
It's all trollocks to make us feel guilty for something ultimately as individuals we have no control over.
That's naughty.
