Documentary On Blacks & Race Stuns Audiences

Italians, Germans, etc. are all one monolithic group basically. They may have pride in their particular background, but if they do it's only a one day thing and they go back to being the average white person afterwards.

The "color" designation is not really a valid issue. They are "caucasian".

When I see that, it reminds me so much of a girl that I knew named Emma.
She always said, "Why do they call people Caucasian? My family never came from Caucasia."

Was she touched in the head............you know...a bit special.:oldrazz:

Well, Caucasian is actually used quite incorrectly. I live in America and I am white but not technically Caucasian because all of my ancestors didn't originate in Europe. I don't like the term really.

So, now that you all have seen the actual definition, don't be so quick to call that girl a dumbass, because she technically wasn't completely wrong to say that.

Maybe it's just me, but this didn't seem to be a problem when I was growing up, as a lot of kids my age watched shows like reading rainbow.

Not to mention some of the biggest icons to kids at that time were black.

who is the last guy?

but Micheal Jacksons white :o

no. that's why i said no, i DON'T classify Italians as white.

Then what are they? They ain't Asian.....They ain't negro......they ain't Semetic (i.e. middle-eastern).

The only thing left is Caucasian....(white).

Look dude. They are European. Just like the Germans, Swedes, Spanish, French, Greeks, British, Dutch and Polish. They are white people. What's wrong with that?? No one's putting white people down or anything....Geeez.

They're technically "white", but they've gotta be the black people of white people haha. If you know what I mean.

No I don't. Just because there was some north African hankie pankie going on, that doesn't change a thing. Their blood lines did not deviate that much.

and if you're gonna use that logic, I guess I'm not black.....matter of fact there are no black people in this country. With all that the slave masters did to slave women with rape, we got a lot of mingled up bloodlines over here. That's why we're all different shades and hues. There ain't nearly as much deviation with Italians. Some, yes. But not as much.
