Transformers Does anyone else feel the way I do?

As a person, based on the little I've seen, Michael Bay does kinda rub me the wrong way... but you can't say he makes bad action movies. I know that when I'm on the set of a film, hurried and a thousand things on my mind, I tend to get a little snippy too.

And you'll find he's not the only director out their casting beautiful women in the lead roles.
In fact, the films where the main girl is ugly tend to be considered "art pieces".

That's Hollywood, baby.

Okay, first off, I loved this movie. Probably one of my favorites that I've seen this year. However, I still think Michael Bay is a colossal *****ebag. He just seems like a sleazy kind of guy, the type of director who only hires actresses so he can sleep with them, a major coke-head. Not to mention he still can't pronounce Scorponok's name right (as seen in the DVD features). I find it so weird to love a movie so much, but hate its director. Does anyone else feel this way?

You got anything to back up this womanizing coke addict claim?

Seems refers to an opinion that's been stated.

However, be careful what you say on a public forum, it could come back to bite you.

Or you could be sued for libel (because that's easier to prove, especially on a public message board). However, it'd have to hurt his reputation, which I think worse has been said about Bay and his directing style.

But again, be careful as to what you say. This is just a little advice, we don't want the wonderful mods of this board to shut it down or be sued for libel. :csad:

We like this board, right? :word:

Seems can also refer to an observation made about someone's appearence. But I agree that people should careful about what they say in public but at the same time we all have the freedom of speach so if he choses to speak his mind who are we to interfere??

Yeah, and I was asking if he was based that opinion on anything, 'cause he'd have to have some characteristics or actions that would lead you to say something like that.

Not if the poster of the statement is overly judgemental and opinionated. To tell the truth Bay gives me the same kind of vibe but I have nothing to back up the feeling ether.....on the otherhand I wouldnt have posted my feelings about the man because I have no real reason to feel that way....its just something in my gut.

I do. I hate his previous work as well as his tendency to plug films like Armageddon as "awesome" and his jabs at the fanbase. With that said, Transformers was so awesome I could care less that he was the one who directed it.

BINGO. Exactly how I feel too. :hyper:

I wouldn't use the term "*****ebag" to describe Michael Bay; I don't know about his personal life, but yet considering the bathroom humor (Sam's pron collection, Mojo urinating on Ironhide, Bumblebee urinating on the Sector Seven agent, etc.) I'm certain he does have some problems. But remember Murphy, Spielberg, Orci, Kurtzman and a few others conspired to make this above-average film. I liked Armageddon, The Rock and yes, even Pearl Harbor; nevertheless, I did not like Transformers.

A teenager with a porn collection and a dog pissing on something. That's just weird. :whatever:

Not necessary to mention in "The Transformers". And a dog urinating on a robot's foot, also unnecessary to telling the storyline; the vulgar humor added absolutely nothing to the film.

It is vulgar. Honestly, do you think any rational person wants a dog urinating on them or would gleefully dance on animal excrement?

There probably are some people who would like that. :oldrazz:

I'm just saying these things are tame compared to a lot of other stufff that's out there.
