They really need to come out with Spider-Man TAS and Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends on DVD already. Especially with the success of the X-Men dvds...

But they probably wont do them until Spider-Man 4. :csad: Whenever that is...

Spidey 4 comes out in May 2011. What kind of a nerd are you?! :cmad: :oldrazz:

And I am kind of surprised that we havent seen any Spider-Man solo animated movies, especially after the Ultimates movies, Gotham Knight, Dr Strange, Wonder Woman and Iron Man were hits.

Okay...

EDIT: Nevermind, I just got what you meant. I honestly doubt we'll see Spider-Man 4 by then, though....

I'd LOOOVE for them to release Spider-Man: TAs and Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends on DVD, but, we'll probably see it once Spider-Man 4 comes out. That's a while from now, sadly.

I really hope Disney doesnt wait until the fourth movie to come out with the series on DVD. People would buy it regardless IMO.

Let's hope that with the recent news regarding Marvel and Disney, they might come out with these series' on DVD a bit sooner.

And, you know... actually put some special features.

I think it has something to do with Sony owning the motion picture rights to Spidey, regardless of format. I would love to see a Reign animated movie, though...

Also, why is everyone talking about this merger (or is it an acquisition?) like you're soon going to see Disney logos on everything. Marvel still controls its characters, Disney is just the company that now owns Marvel.
At least, I hope that's the way it is...

^SS there is right, we're not seeing "Disney's Spider-Man" plastered everywhere, it'll be just the same except on the stock market.

Either, Sony is going to milk Spider-Man for all he's worth ( which would be potentially bad, or potentially really good ) or Disney will produce more product when they can, either before or after 2011 we'll have to see.

I think they will eventually release the complete animated series as they did in UK. Now that Disney owns all rights then maybe the 'legal aspect' with FOX wll be untagled.

Though, knowing the Disney way, we will have to get them quickly as they will be out for 'a limited time only' and then go back to the Disney vault. :)

With Disney? Like that's gonna happen:hehe:

Eh, who knows... now that Marvel is going to be owned by Disney, maybe they'll put in a little effort.

Its still Disney. They bought Saban and all the products they put out from his shows never got any better than what he put out.

I think Disney sees more potential in Marvel.

Yeah, thats why for years they wouldn't pay them for rights they were owed from the shows.

Or how Disney believes in the potential for all the hit shows they have on dvd that also don't lnclude special features.

Eh...

Seeing how X-Men TAS was released on DVD, I'm hoping Spider-Man will be released in a similar manner as well.

Yea they released 60's show in 2004 to coincide with Spider-man 2.The way they have released the episodes so far has been stupid.5 DVDS with four or five episodes per DVD sucks.I do own the first two and the Venom saga.I'm surprised They didn't at least release one set of TAS for Spider-man 3.It was really stupid on there part.Although it's weird they released them in the UK but not here.Oh I don't if anyone else knows this but you could download the entire first season of the 90's series off Itunes for about 21 bucks.
