Superman Returns Does Singer Hate Dogs?

Just came back from watching the movie and was very disturbed by the "Eating of the dogs parts" as my friend put it.
What was up with those scenes? Were they inside jokes? Does Singer just dislike dogs in general?

Why would PETA jump on it? It was not a person harming the dog .. it was just another dog doing it. I dont think they care in cases like that.

I see their claim as being something like, "animal endangerment on a desert island" or..."animals shouldn't be around career criminals". Then comes "Boycott teh man o' steel!!!!"

I thought that was hilarious. And no, this is not Smallville, totally different breed of dog aswell.

This is what dogs do when they get hungry; eat anything in sight. What probably happened was one of the dogs starved to death, and the other dog ate its rotting corpse. When you're a starving dog, you don't get too choosy. As Gil Grissom once said: "Meat is Meat".....

Why did you look for it? Did you happen to have a pic of a puppy saying yum and was looking for just the right spot to put it? You didn't really have to ask someone else about thier opinion of "Does Singer hates dogs" simply because of a joke he wrote into the movie did you? Of the thousands of questions to be asked and topics to be discussed...this is one of the lamest.
