I notice more flaws, but at the same time I am much more prepared for them. I also notice hidden easter eggs I didn't see before. But the fun level remains the same.
Same here.

I was also a bit more impatient the second time around. Because of how much I enjoyed the Transformers, I just wanted to get to their scenes quickly.

I plan on seeing it again soon, so I'll come back and tell you all what I think. I really loved it the first time around. The more I think about what I saw, the more I can remember enjoying.

The movie was really well done.

But I'll know if it gets better or worse, by next week.

It gets better. Because i've seen it flaws and i just sit there and enjoy the film for what it is. :woot:

Very well said !

I agree - you really summed up the 'theme' in a way that even I had not thought of. Lots of subtle deep thoughts were conveyed in the film; Im gonna go see it again just for those 'easter eggs' - like I just noticed the Bumble Bee hanging from the dashboard of... BumbleBee's ride - on it, it says "Bee Oytch" I noticed it after watching that "big arms" clip that's on Yahoo. The more you look at anything, the more you'll notice about it - which can make you appreciate it more, and sometimes even less.

IVE SEEN IT SIX time's everytime i watch it i see sumthin new in it and real foucus on the movie...... nothing else its my fav movie of all time till transformers 2 comes out if its better than the first one...AUTOBOTS ROLL___OUT.....

I liked it more the second time around actually. I think it had to do more with the crowd being into it a lot more than my first time.

Also, you'll only notice flaws if you go in looking for flaws. It's a Michael Bay movie, it's not Casablanca. Go in, turn off your brain, and enjoy.

I got called an elitist when I said that. I guess positive reviews are allowed to say that.

Anyway, I don't know yet if I'll see it again in the theater. I know some of my favorite movies of all time didn't start out that way (Pulp Fiction, Spider-man 2, for instance) but grew on me once I started seeing the director's brilliance in them. Somehow, I highly doubt that will happen here. I didn't like Independence Day or Armageddon or Pearl Harbor 2nd time around.... in fact, they got worse. And if you take away Peter Cullen and the *names* Autobots/Decepticons/etc you have a movie that is no better than any of those movies.

I got called an elitist when I said that. quote]

don't forget the *****e part. You were an "elitist *****e". Very important.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

You were probably called an elitist because that's really the way you have to see the movie. You can't go in there with a Schindler's List mindset.

It's better when you haven't watched a movie in a while then you watch it again. It reminds you why you liked it in the first place instead of boring you because all the surprises are fresh in your mind.

Agree. And like Warhammer said, when I watch a film in theaters a second time, it doesn't usually get better, thats why I rarely see a film more than once in theaters

I originally (way back when) hoped not for Schindler's List, but Aliens in quality. After reading all the reviews I went in Batman 89 when I 15yro mindset- fully prepared to just love it for the imagery and theater experience. Neither happened. :csad:

Agreed.
That is why the first time I get a DVD, I can really enjoy a film.

The Transformers movie is the best thing since God said, "Let there be light". It gets better every time.

:whatever:

Okay, at least be honest about why you we're called an Elitist *****e. You basicly said that anyone who thinks Transformers was good needed their IQ checked. Totally different than saying it's "turn off your brain entertainment", as it is not as stuck up and dickish.

Haha, dickish.

Oh he's the one that said that? Yeah, that was dickish.

Way to all jump on a bandwagon and attack CFlash because he wanted a different tone for the movie.

You really showed him how to act like an open-minded adult. :whatever:

QFT.

I loved it the first time, and loved it as much the second time. The second time I paid more attention to the quotes and liners because they were just so cool.

Loved the ending with Optimus Prime standing above the other autobots and Sam and Mikala and everyone looking out across the sunset and making his speech.

Optimus Prime had some of the best lines and speeches in any movie. They just radiated coolness, IMO.

Saying "anyone who liked it needs their IQ checked" /= "he wanted a different tone for the movie."

That is a bit dick-ish. I plan on seeing it again.

Why the hell is everyone attacking CFlash for his opinion? I've heard it countless times...

"Quit whining. Wait til you watch the movie before you say something"

Well guess what. He watched the movie, we all have. And now people are still saying, "People will complain about anything/everything". Someone says it in EVERY thread. Let people have their opinions for crissakes. If you don't agree then counter it...but quit telling people to stifle their opinions.

If anything those who anticipated the movie for 20 years only to be left disappointed have a reason to be frustrated and disgruntled. Then you get the satisfied customers who are pleased with the movie kickin these fans while they're down.

Try to walk a mile in the guys shoes.
