Does this quote have a greater meaning?

Hank: My boy, I have been fighting for mutant rights since before you had claws.
Logan: Did he just call me boy?

Just recently watched X3 again...Enjoyed the first viewing, hated each other time I saw it.

But this time I picked up on a line that Hank said to Logan...The one above...

Just curious if you guys think there's any hidden significance to this line. How did Beast know when Wolvie got his claws? Was Hank apart of the government when the experiment happened? Does Hank know Stryker?

Just thought it was weird...

Hank is implying that he's been at the Mutant Rights game since before Logan was born. Obviously, he's mistaken, as Logan looks MUCH younger than he actually is.

He's just being clever, especially since mutants are born with their powers, or develop them at a very young age.

just because they havent met doesnt mean that hank doesnt know at least some of his story.

im sure at some point he talked to jean/ororo/scott and they discussed him. its something they could tell him.

Yeah...I know it's a stretch...But it just occurred to me because of Hank's involvement with the government (mutant section) that it's possible that he knew Stryker some how...
