Yes, and no. True love doesn't exist in the sense that you could never find a perfect soulmate. No soul is perfectly compatable with another. People's differences, similarities and situations are ultimately going to create some degree of irreconcilable distance. That doesn't however mean you cannot get close to a "perfect match".
As for soulmates; people who are meant to be together. This can be a dangerous thought.
1) For anyone whose been 'in love' you realize that at that moment that person you're in love with can be like a soulmate, and in your head this is the person you're meant to be with. Don't be so blind though as to think that this feeling necessarily lasts forever. Most marriages are not lust and passion forever and ever till the end of time...that desire for more will always exist.
2) You really shouldn't start thinking you are "meant" to be with someone, because that can cloud your judgement. You are meant to be with anyone who doesn't feel they are meant to be with you. So in a way it's not that you are meant for anyone but you share a raport with another person. This isn't a possessive thing, it's an exchange.
