I agree with that. Yet, at the same time, I disagree. I mean, isn't a part of loving someone about pushing them to be better? Isn't that what parents do to their children out of love? Isn't that the right thing to do?

So, it's both. It's a willingness to let them be what they are, and a need to see them succeed even more. It's a selfishness, and selflessness. Independence and possession. Heh. Maybe love can be defined in a single word; contradiction.

Expect the people you love to be better. It helps them to become better. But don't get upset when they fail. It helps them keep trying.

I'm all warm and fuzzy inside and I'm very happy but at the same time I can look outside of myself and my personal relationship and recognize that 'love' is many things. Not just goo-goo gaa-gaa. If I am only talking about my personal relationship, I'll make people nauseous. For me, love bring me a sense of calm and peace. I don't have to jump on the couch like Mr. Cruise.

I think you missed reading the link to the reunion article.

Why did he have some other dude play all of his classic solos for him? Arthritis? And yes, it's very hard to look at pics of him now so I go back to looking at pics of him in his prime.
