Saw the trailer. I had hope it would look decent, but the trailer isn't looking good to me. I loved Donnie Darko and I'm still holding out 'til I see this film to judge it. Knowing how I felt when I first heard about Donnie D, I'm feeling the same with this film...so maybe I'll be surprised by the whole thing in front of me. Just hope it makes some damn sense and has a connectable plot to the first film.

That's my feeling also. Just seems pointless and a way to make a cheap buck out of eager fans.
