Vic and Scott journeyed to mars in Doom 3: BFG Edition. Lots of value on one disc, but the games just don't all hold up.

Victor's score is a 6.0 & Scott's score is a 5.0

GI (even though they did their test chamber on on it) and GT still have yet to put up their reviews on this game installment. mostly cause this game came out during a busy time.

I think they should have released it for 19.99...I bet reviews would have been kinder. I'll still pick it up..but not until after the first of the year.

Yea at 19.99 I woulda snagged it day one. Ill get it eventually

I'm waiting for a price drop but I will own this eventually, it would be a perfect Halloween treat!

When I get this I'm not going to be comparing it to games today. I'll probably be saying "Dang, this game was ahead of its time."

Maybe in terms of graphics it was but everything else it was way behind

It popularized (not invented) the concept of "audio logs" as a storytelling device and it had a lighting engine that still puts most modern games to shame, but that's about as far as Doom 3's innovations go. It was and is a very standard FPS.

I'm going to have to order it online, because the video game stores that I went were all sold out.

well now that they finally put it up

DLC ADD-ON

Doom 3 BFG Edition (PS3, X360) However you felt about Doom 3 when it came out, BFG Edition isn't the best way to play it today.

I've been playing it and doing a Let's Play of it as well. I'm running through the Lost Missions since I never touched those before. I have to say It's not that great. I mainly got it because I had the resolution issue with Doom 3 vanilla from Steam.

The same night I bought BFG, I got my original Doom 3 working. I'm still doing the let's play for the Lost Missions but don't believe I'll be jumping back on it. It's alright but the mods already passed it in terms of changes. I think it's good for the consoles but majority of Doom 3 fans run on PC, so... yeah

Just got it for Christmas and was lovin it up, but then something horrible happened. The game started glitchin real bad, could barely move. Tried playing through it but it finally froze and I had to shut my console down. Tried it again, same thing. So I started over, got to the same point in the game..and it did the same thing again. What the hell? There's not a scratch on the disk, and it's not my X-Box, I can play Skyrim for hours on end with no issues. Is anyone else having this problem?? It happens in Communications right before you send/cancel the distress signal and gets progressively worse from there. Feedback would be appreciated.
