Rise of the Silver Surfer DR. DOOM/Julian McMahon Discussion

As long as it is Doomesque and looks realistic, I couldn't care less how they did it.

You guys can quote me on this...but from what I've been told by a little birdie that IS the final look of Doom on-screen. It's fully armored, not organic flesh. In his hand he's holding
a weapon molded from manipulated cosmic energy. The base he's standing on is a cutaway from the Silver Surfer's board.

Maybe, reminiscing terrax his ax? :o
anyway.....i'm getting hyped-up......and going too actually see it in theaters!!! :woot: (din't see the first in theaters)

I saw this coming a mile away, people are starting to rationalize Fox's version of Doom.

I agree with what someone else said, wouldn't they have saved money if they had opted for a suit of armor than CGI? Of course use CGI for major motion action shots, but overall a suit of armor clearly could have been done.

They have an armor suit in Iron Man and that seems to be working fine for them.:o

I am glad to see he said he did not use the lame romantic triangle part. It was mentioned in the novelization so that goes to show we shouldn't believe everything in there will be in the movie.
There's no sign of the romantic triangle in the movie.

I think it is different. The Iron Man suit seems to be semi-robotic and is more chunky than a form fitting suit that Doom wears.

I have to say that on screen Doom's armor doesn't look that bad, you can't even notice the rubber arms.

While I agree that an actual suit would look much better and in actuality is more practical, I'm guessing that it depends on how just how much screen time this fully armored Dr. Doom will have.

They might have just gotten lazy and just wanted to CG the rest now that the costume was 70% there but then again it's still hard to say if we'll see what the armored toy depicts.

6 minutes? And half of those it's a digital stunt.

At 92 minutes, did you expect more?

That is why I am expecting a good movie (if the Surfer kicks major ass, very good...a well done Surfer will win more points from me), but not a great one. I think I will leave saying "could of used another 15-20 minutes".

The question now becomes, when will the first fire Story threads appear?

He has seen the movie. And it's a meh.:cmad: Damn you, Story!

Why don't you just do a cut and paste from now on...

"sucks, meh, yuk, stinks, damn story, damn avi, damn Fox" then just cut and paste that......it'll save you time.....

That wouldn't be fair. It's Payne's script. So if the movie looks better then Story has done better. It would be the writing of the characters that sucks.

Oh sorry....yes, he needs to add Payne to his quote....that way he'll hit all areas....

Hilarious.

It's always fun and giggles before a superhero movie comes out. Afterwards, it's " I hate... Fire this... You're stupid for liking...******ed..."
:yay:
