I hope to God somebody does to him exactly what he's inspired teenagers to do to homeless people.

Look at this corny dude, getting all serious.

So, I watched the video and I find it horribly hypocritical of Dr. Phil to say "I won't promote this kind of thing on my show." after he's shown all the bumfight footage and then asks the guy to leave. Ummm....you just DID promote it you jerk. I guess his need to make himself feel high and mighty on the air overrode his common sense to just not have any of that crap on his show in the first place if he didn't want to promote it. Ridiculous.

Yeah, Phil is a clown. My man does exploit people as well, and I can't believe people take him seriously as a psychologist, because he certainly doesn't act like one. Thinking he is a quick fix to psychological and socilogical problems in an episode. haha

He's just as bad as Oprah.

Last I checked, brutalizing and sometimes murdering homeless people because they think it's fun is pretty serious.

I don't think they muder people, dude. But seriously, this is hardly a serious offense. If parents do their job, and raise kids with correct morals, they wouldn't get off on videos like this, and wouldn't be "inspired" to take advantage of homeless people. It's sick entertainment. But there is alot of that out there. And what makes America, well... America, is the right to have this stuff out there.

Just because the bumfight jerk has the legal right to do what he does doesn't at all make it morally or ethically right. It's exploitation of a subset of American culture that have unfortunate circumstances and often what he instigates and encourages them to do is harmful to them on multiple levels. And he's gotten rich doing it, sadly enough. He's just as despicable as Dr. Phil.

Yes, there have been quite a few instances where teenagers, inspired by BumFights, have gone out and literally beaten homeless people to death because they think it's funny. That's a fact.

And proper parenting or not, this stuff is still inspiring kids to go out and attack the homeless. Parenting background notwithstanding. If this guy was going around making movies called "******fights", would you have the same reaction?

I'm not disagreeing. But essentially, Phil is doing the same thing.

Agreed, but what makes this Dr. Phil clip so funny is what you stated before:

So you believe in cencorship?

Oh, I don't disagree. Dr. Phil makes a living off of exploiting other people's problems. In some ways, he's worse than the Bumfight guy because he uses these people's problems as a way to make himself seem intelligent and as if he is in possession of the answers to all their troubles. Most of these television talk show buttheads exploit their guests including Maury Pauvich and his "The DNA Test Says You're The Daddy" shows and the guy from one of those news programs who sets up stings on child molesters.

I think he's implying that I'm black. haha

In an effort to get a response or personal problem with it. I don't believe Asterick Fights is morally right, but what it inspires isn't neccessarily ALL of it's fault. There is other factors at work that play a part in that. I've watched Asterick Fights before, and never went around beating homeless people.
