Drama Dramatic Reimagining of ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ in the Works

This just seems so weird.

I thought it would be a reimagining with the basic idea but new spin but here they’re remaking EXACT episode plots except played for “real”.

His origin story is going to be the same, its like Superman or Batman. Always gonna walk down a dark alley or have your planet explode.

Yeah I get that, but that’s not what I said. I said exact episode recreations. As if Christopher Nolan remade Tim Burton’s Batman with the same script but more realistic.

You havent even seen any episodes yet.

I’m basing it off the trailer which is hinting at that.

Anyway, it’s all good. I just said it seemed weird seeing those scenes recreated for “real”. That’s all.

Has Carlton done his signature dance yet?

watching the pilot now really damn good so far!

Fresh Prince of Bel Air as a serious drama reminds me of other 'kid from the wrong side of tracks' ends up in plush California town shows like The OC and All American.

Just started....its ok. Like a slight step above CW.

The pilot tried to set up A LOT and thus felt like forever. Once Wilk gets to the golden gates it seems to be very fast in getting Will fit in.

Carlton being a druggie....not really here for it. Im disappointed they didn't make him gay but who knows what the future holds.

Hillary being an influencer is very 2021 but im so tired of influencer characters lol. I must be getting old.

Aunt Viv seems to be a mix of old/new as far as personality goes.

I was highly skeptical of this show at first and while the pilot episode was kind of rough for me because it was so much set-up which was a little jarring, I have been loving episodes 2 through 4 so far.

Hillary is my favorite character in this show right now because even though the whole social media influencer trope is very overused nowadays, she's at least a very likable and endearing character.

Also, Coco Jones is absolutely stunning to look at and has a ton of charisma and energy in the role. I'm also really liking this version of Geoffrey who comes off as a very believable badass.

yeah i like this version of Hillary a lot more

I guess they took that pill episode to a darker direction.

I just can't w/Carlton and this stupid love triangle.

Geoffrey is more of a fixer than a Butler in this version.

The Carlton/Lisa/Will lover triangle is certainly played out.

I have to say the last 30 minutes of the finale was all kinds of amazing and a complete emotional roller-coaster ride that just didn't let up and I loved every minute of it.

Kudos to the performances from Jabari Banks and Marlon Wayans as the dad in this episode who shows you just how damn good of a dramatic actor he can be.

Can't wait for Season 2 now either.

Momma uses sculpting you out of clay as a euphemism for getting down and dirty with Zeus.
