This is sweet. THe proportions are just right and the inking and line work is top notch. Colors a basic, but they work.

Just a comment on the character itself...i never understood why the scorpion is green? I never seen a green scorpion...Id like to see a redesign with a brown and black scorpion. I think that would be much more menacing aswell....just a comment.

If you notice, most of Spidey's early villians(as well as a lot of Marvel characters) were green and or purple(Lizard, GG, Mysterio, Skrulls, etc.). Thats because out of the inks they used then, green and purple were most reliable and showed up the best in print

P.S.: Awesome work dude. Keep it comin.

Actually, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko have both stated that alot of the early villains were green and purple becuase they are secondary colors as opposed to Spider-man's blue and Red. They make for better contrast wehn both characters are seen in the same panel, theres no mistaking who's who.

And thanks for the compliments guys. Im afraid I wont have much art in the next few days cause Im hardcore into renovations of my new Tattoo studio, Im totally pumped!!

I heard it was because Green was the cheapest color to use back then. Which is why so many characters are green.

Also, the hulk was orginally grey but grey was harder to print then than green so they changed him over to green.

I have a bunch more artwork, but its not all comic book related. If you wanna check some of it out, I have a gallery over at renderosity. . . http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Yes&Artist=Draw4u&Form.sess_id=25237189&Form.sess_key=1102986521
Dude, I had to look at your leg twice to make sure that wasn't my leg.:o
I have a similar tat on the same leg.
NICE art, by the way:D

I got the idea for this pose from a little spider-man doodle I saw by J. Scott Campbell, except campbell had him holding onto the web with his feet, adn he was reaching kinda forward or somethign, I dunno, it was a really small pic. Anyways, I always thought my spider-man looked kinda rigid compared to the villains I was drawing, so I tried to loosen him up a bit with this one. Hoping to color it later.

Keep it coming and i would love to see some of your stuff with Cap or Moonknight or Darkhawk if you get a chance.

you could split the legs a little apart more with the spidey that would loosen him up better. I like it though I think with spidey you godda explore potential poses, u can keep rehasing the same tired ****.

Color, Color, Color, Color, Color, Color, Color, Color.

sorry for the lack of updates guys, Ive been insanley busy. My shop is gonna be opening next week, so once its up and running I shoudl have some time to throw some color into that spidey and give you a whole *****load of new art.
