Okay, I don't know what I was smokin when I made that crappy list. I think it came from watching too much Blade in one day and looking for a dark team of avengers. But this is my real choice and it sorta came from a fanfic I made.


my dream new Avengers:
Leader:
SpiderMan
:In a climatic battle with Kang and his army of himselves from different time periods, Captain America sorta of dies (again) in the heat of battle. In anger and shock Spiderman picks up Caps shield and leads the rest of the conscious avengers into a inspiring win over the left over Kangs. Though in the end Cap turns out not to be dead. None the less, Cap is severly injured and a new leader is chosen to sub him for the time being. (No, Spiderman doesn't keep the shield. He's filling in the leader role, not becoming Cap.)
Spidermans character on the team deals with him taking on the many pressures of being team leader, all the while facing critism from his fellow teammates and the public. Becoming the team leader allows Spiderman to eventually grow into himself and allows him to discover things about him he never knew. Not to mention Mj is pregnant(with a baby that won't be retconned this time) and he has to deal with that to.

Cloak
:Even though the new avengers are techniqually unregistered, after saving the world from the Kangs the government decides to comprimise with them and keep them under close watch. They allow Spiderman to add any person they like to the team. Having good relations in the past Spiderman adds Cloak to his roster. Cloak also showed great loyalty in the civilwar to Caps secret avengers earning nothing but Spidermans trust.

Dagger
:See Cloaks explanation.

Wasp
:Unfortunately S.h.i.e.l.d. and others can't fully trust an unregistered team, so in agreement to allowing Spiderman to have his way, he had to reserve a spot for Wasp on his team. Basically acting as a parole officer waiting for the team to slip up, she has many doubts about Peter as the teams leader. Though she hides it from the rest of the group and keeps on her usual light hearted face. In the end she becomes inspired by Peter Parkers transformation of an unconfident hero worshiper to adamant hero and leader. And thus becomes more loyal to the new Avengers than the government.

Thor
: One of the Avengers Spiderman lead to defeat Kang. Thor also, relates to Spiderman on the whole being cloned thing. After the battle with Kang, Thor comments that, "I would only ever fight at the call two mortals in my life. Spiderman you are one of them."

Sentry
:Hating Tony Stark for sending the Hulk into space, the Sentry vows that he would never fight alongside Ironman again. Sentry doesn't want to fight alongside Ironman anymore, but doesn't want to quit the Avengers. So he joins the new Avengers. Also, he joins to fight along side the Hulk. And make sure he doesn't rampage ever again.

The Hulk
:The science nerd guy of the team and brawn. Most of the time he stays in his Banner form unless the Avengers dispatch. Spiderman wanted him on the team to help research why he "evolved" and grew stingers. After all a leader can't lead a team if he knows little about himself. Its later found out that Spiderman didn't evolve because of magical Spider gods, but because he mutated. Cloak later informs him, that there is no magical power watching over him, and that the spider god dream was just that-- a dream. Though the remnant he created when he evolved thinks that dream is true. Cloak also adds that his powers are 100% science based, but could fool others into thinking he was one of the hunters.
Hulk is one of the avengers Spiderman lead to defeat Kang. Hulk states after the battle."Hulk likes Spiderman. Hulk likes Thor. But if Hulk ever sees Ironman again, Hulk smash."

Elektra
:Later the New Avengers take down the hand who it turned out had secret ties with some of the thunderbolts. Their leader, Elektra, is defeated by Spiderman in a one on one fight for control over the Hand. When Spiderman wins he instead tells Elektra that she's indebt to him. And reminds her of times they were allies in the past and how she could be of help to the Avengers. Being in debt, Elektra reluctantly joins the Avengers. She often comes down on Spiderman saying how he is a pitiful leader. A man with too much emotional baggage to bark orders, but Spiderman usually jokes it off or ignores her. Though on many occassions shes challenged Spiderman for leadership of the team in fights to the alleged death. But you know how inconclusive those fights end up when dealing with main characters.


my dream Mighty Avengers:
their story more revolves around Cap recooperating later, but Ironman doesn't want him to rejoin the New avengers in fear he may start a rebelion again. Cap is forced to join IM's Avengers to prevent congusion. To show he's a patriot to his country Cap reluctantly agrees.
Its also about Cap gaining his confidence, and crinjingly taking orders from Ironman.
