Dreams...Don't you hate it when...

Most of my dreams are terrifying and a lot of them are specific past memories that I relive, which sucks. Even if I know I'm dreaming.

Also I dreamt that I was a rocketship. I have never actually been a rocketship though.

I dream the most random things -- I can dream about old friends/lost friendships, past relationships, celebrities :o (last one involved Charlize Theron) and then the most mundane things.. like doing something with my computer, or writing, stuff like that -- odd.

I think there's nothing that beats my one dream if we're talking about terrifying. I was dreaming of a giant prison, that was pretty much a slaughter house and tore, hacked, slashed and sliced the prisoners apart, to serve as food for the other prisoners. And it was graphic... I saw people chew on other people's dismembered heads.

I don't know what I ate that night to get such a ****ed up dream.

What I hate are dreams that feel very real. Because there isn't any crazy stuff happening, it's like you're living your daily life.

Ditto. There were times when I woke up and felt like I just got home from a day of high school.

I once dreamt I was back home, and then woke up to pleasure to find I wasn't. =/

.... Freddy tries to kill you over and over and over again :cmad:.

I actually was happy to not be home. XD

It's not a nightmare, I just rather be here.

I have dreams that blend Brooklyn (my home for those who don't know) with Denver. They're weird. I've dreamed that I've walked from my school to my parent's house.

Sometimes I'm dreaming and I realize I'm dreaming but I don't wake up, then I can control things that happen in my dream which is pretty cool because there are no rules. It's called Lucid Dreaming, some people do it as a hobby and have techniques to induce lucid dreams, I tried to get into it but while I was researching it I realized I didn't care enough so I went and played a game or something.

You have the most amazing dream of your life and while dreaming you realize it's a dream:doh: and then few seconds later you wake up. Damn it, I bloody hate this.

Even worse is when you have that dream, don't realize it's a dream, wake up, and think it actually happened, before you figure out about 10 minutes later that it was all in your head.

I love Lucid........dreaming.

Alright, I'll leave now.

My dreams are very bizzare... but while I'm having them they seem normal. I don't even realize how strange they are until after I wake up. Becuase while I'm dreaming, I don't know I'm dreaming.
Me too! Also, I always have the problem where something sticks out very vivdly when I wake up, but then I can't seem to recall nearly anything else about the dream. I can remember the middle, but not the beginning or end so to speak.

I had a dream once like this, one of the few I remember most of, where my girlfriend and my daughter and I wer ebeing chased by giant spiders in my parents house. We secaped, and went to the carnival that would never exist near that house in real life where my parents were. I got my mom, who said she'd go back to the house with me while everyone else staye dback. We came back, went in and this giant red spider came slowly down behind my mom. I screamed, she turned around, smiled, and said "That's no spider! It's just a lobster!".....then I woke up.

I remember one dream I had is when I became The Ghost Rider. I'll never forget this dream.

In the dream I woke up in the middle of the night and I went into the bathroom feeling very angry. I stared into the mirror and the next thing I remembered my head was a flaming skull.

Eventually I went into two scenarios where I confronted a man who was abusing his wife and another one who was abusing drugs. During this time I was heavily reading Ghost Rider comics, the film itself was about to come out, and I even drew a picture of the Ghost Rider at the time too.

But honestly it felt so real that I was really disappointed that my mom ended up waking me up telling me breakfast was ready. :o:cmad:

You'd think someone who calls themselves "TheDreamMaster" would have better control of their dreams... :o

j/k!

Unrelated, but I just woke up from one of those night terror things...where you feel like youre awake but someone is in the room pressing down on you or youre being abducted by aliens or whatever. I'm telling you...I can TOTALLY see why people mistake that for an alien abduction. It was pretty intense, and actually sort of painful.

Anyway...hey...it's a thread about dreams, Im not TOO far off topic.
thank god i've never had that experience. i would freak. is there any explanation behind why that happens?

Just tonight, I had a dream the Columbian drug Cartel flew a 747 into my house.

I'm trying to make it so I get to live 2 lives nowadays, one in this world and a dream one of my own.

Lucid IN thESKY WIthDiAmONds!!

I wish I could have ludic dreams. Sure, sometimes I have them, but I can never induce them willingly. It would be so amazing if I actually had control of my dreams. All the crazy **** I could do.

Dude. It's not something that just *happens*, if you really want them there's no reason you can't get them. :)

It's just really difficult for me to notice that I'm dreaming. I mean, in one of my last dreams Godzilla appeared and I didn't think it was weird at all. Yet in one of my dreams that were realistic, where I was just walking around in the neighborhood, I was like "Hey, I'm dreaming."

It's all about finding the consistency. :D It takes a while but it's totally worth it, I've been slacking but last time I spoke to a friend of mine he had 3 lucid dreams in a month. It gets so real that you need to do reality tests.

3 in a month? I want to have 1 every night. Like you said, 2 lives. The regular one and the crazy one at night.

We just started dabbling in it, I'm gonna get there someday and it's gonna be awesome. Gotta take the steps but if you really want to, you can.
