DTL Season 4-Week 1 (Set 4)

Well, the fact that he holds his own against a Thor who's even more powerful than the normal Thor and it's specifically attributed to his adamantium enhancements makes him seem like he's pushing uber level to me. Like I said, it takes not just any old uber to get past adamantium, it takes ubers of the absolute highest strength class to do so.

Nevertheless, I'm a bit surprised that Harl was ahead on the early ballots. I thought both writeups were good, but Harl's chronological thing left me feeling that a lot of the action was happening "off camera". Plus, his ending seemed a bit rushed.

EDIT: Not trying to rag on Harl's writeup, which I still thought was good, but I thought I should justify my vote above since I hadn't yet posted any explanation.
No worries. It was kind of rushed, so the votes surprised me, and a lot of action was off-camera, because I really did have a bit of a hard time writing this battle. And I did make the 10 minutes a little too long, it was my creative license, because I wanted to stick the others in-between.

It's not specifically attributed to the adamantium at all. Heck, all I had them do (and this is specified) is make his gauntlets, boots, and hammer adamantium. I basically had Thor giving Steel a chance before just plain ripping him apart. I can see how it might seem a little skewed with the 10-minute thing though. I was really messing up with that time-line.

So, like, I said, it's not the usual quality that Corp can get out of me, but it'll have to do, and thanks for all the votes for me I can get. ;)

Harl's prep said:
Mr. Fantastic, Spider-Man and Steel worked together on the latter’s armor, enforcing its gauntlets and boots, as well as the hammer Steel carried, with an adamantium layering. Now it would be able to resist the assault of Thor’s hammer Mjolnir, hopefully long enough for the others to be able to help Steel out.
:p

Just to be clear, though, I'm not trying to imply you cheated or anything. I'm just wondering whether adamantium enhancements would be legal in the future because I remembered that an adamantium body is basically all Ultron has going for him, and he's an uber.

Well, Ultron is completely made out of adamantium, unlike what I had done to Steel. Heck, in the end, even Cap walks around with an adamantium enhancement (or rather, something stronger than adamantium). But full coating in the stuff even I would object too.

We should get wieg to weigh in on this. I'd be down with allowing adamantium enhancements but not full, external coverage (since Wolverine's got internal coverage but it doesn't raise him past reg level) on any characters short of ubers.

Justice Society 6
Claws Veeshan 2

Gods and men 8/10

Even if Harl wasn't really satisfied with his write-up, I kinda liked it. It was a neat approach.

 Way to go Corpster. That one was REALLY close. I take this for the honorable loss it is. :)
