Dumb & Dumber 2-Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels Return

BTW does anyone know where to get the original dvd? I don't want the one bundled with the prequel and can only find the unrated cut.

Nor am I. It was completely unnecessary, and baffles me as to why it's the only version available on dvd and bluray I can find. I do however, think there's a funny scene where Harry is crying and it pans up to the tear streaming down his face, ala the old commercials with the crying native american (seen in the special features, not in the movie itself.)

The unrated cut has a moment when Lloyd calls Harry a "homo" and that really ruined it for me. I thought them using that word tarnished the innocence of the characters, going from lovably stupid to commonly ignorant.

The extended scene in the hotel is what really lost me. They went from loveably stupid, to just plain weird/perverts.

The prequel has nothing to do with the original film. Sure, the same characters, but none of the same people involved.

Oh I know lol. I don't like it, nor the unrated cut either. I just want the original, unaltered cut.

I'm sure right around the time when the sequel is released next year, they'll come out with a big special edition blu-ray of the original that will probably include the theatrical along with the unrated.

Hopefully the sequel will have a good soundtrack.

All reports are that Cam Neely has yet to reprise his role as Sea Bass.

True, but I liked it all the same. And despite the pretty dumb plot (no pun intended), I think Derek Richardson and Eric Christian Olsen (who played Harry and Lloyd) were great.

And if they have any flashbacks in this film, I would hope they'd consider bringing them back for it.

It was 1994. People weren't hypersensitive back then.

The 80s were even worse. Bill & Ted hug then call each other "bag" with an f instead of a b. They're still as lovable as ever.

LOL

i remember Spicoli's surfer dream sequence in Fast Times when he's referring to other surfers by saying "those guys are f**s" :woot:

seriously, what the hell happened in the last 10-15 years that most everyone all of a sudden got so super sensitive?

I'm telling you guys, if this is another road trip movie (which all arrows point to Yes), this is guaranteed comedy gold. Not only are road trip movies rarely bad, but this movie has one of the greatest examples as a foundation to build off of. I'm all in on this. All chips are in the middle. I have no doubt in my mind.

Time has passed this movie by. Coming from a fan of the first. I haven't really liked a Carrey comedy since Me, Myself and Irene.
