It's been confirmed that the game COMES with all the cars and tracks but they can be bought instead of going through the process of unlocking them.

A concept GTHD will be available for download only, and several other 'concepts' will emerge via download too. Sony wants to focus on a full GT5, and quite right too.

Polyphony seems to have quite a bit in the works for GT5. The Gran Turismo official site lists the genre for Gran Turismo HD Concept as "Real Driving Simulator," the same genre that's been used for the series since the original PlayStation version. For Gran Turismo 5, the genre is listed as "Online Car Life Simulator."

A life simulator eh? That's quite a step up.

mentok its not a rumor. idk if this was said by someone already but.

there are two versions of the game. one comes with cars and tracks, one comes without, you have to download all your stuff to personalize the game.

oo just read the ign news, i didnt know they cancelled them. but downloading it will be cool too. as long as its cheap or free.

Let's see, GT:HD cancelled, GT5 the focus, free Gt5 concept demos to be downloadable for free first one on december 24th?

I'd say this is a good move.

well it sucks for GT fans. GTHD was mainly going to be an HD version of GT4 with online play. Fanatics and people really into that would have enjoyed that product. Now they will have to wait till what 2009 for a PS3 GT game. I could care less either way bc Im not a GT fan

Its still going to suck as a racing 'simulator' is they keep linking the physics engine uptake rate to teh frames per second.
