Duncan Jones' Warcraft

I think you're right. That does say "The Last Witch Hunter". The man sitting there is director Breck Eisner I believe.

Hell I dunno. Looking into it further The Last Witch Hunter is set in modern day New York.

Hmm. Could the second pic from the bottom on the right be one of the World Trees? It might be Warcraft but why have the art from a different movie hanging there?

So, from what it looks like, this will in a way be based on the first game Warcraft: Orcs and Humans. I wonder if it will cover the entirety of the First War, or if the filmmakers are planning to stretch the event into more movies.

I really hope this doesn't follow the usual rule of video game adaptations, it has a good Director and more than enough time to film and post-production.

Duncan Jones is a brilliant director. I just hope he gets the "power" he needs to land this ship. Warcraft is such a big property, and I would assume Metzen and the others are VERY involved in what's happening. I just hope the result is a good movie, and not a mishmash of what 10 different people wanted.

I personally find Duncan Jones' work painfully overrated but I hope he surprises me here.

Did you see it in 3D ? That might be it, the movie is very dark compared to the first 300, I think it looks pretty stunning overall although so much of it is greenscreen.

Gatsby had good cinematography, but 300: ROAE? I had a lot of trouble discerning what the hell was going on.

With 300, it might have been a case of difficulty with trying to fit into a pre-established visual style.

Maybe. Yeah, I saw it in 3D so that could have been the problem. I'd watch it again in 2D... but I didn't like the movie enough to sit through it again.

Simon Duggan did a great job with Great Gatsby. I wonder if it's a combo of the director and the constant green screen for 300 2 that made everything look kinda cheap (videoish) and chaotic.

They started in Janurary, ending in May. That's about right.

That was a short production for something of this size. It most be a lot of greenscreen and cgi. As long as it is done well I don't mind it tho.

Given the world it takes place in I think 5 months or so is reasonable. There will be a lot of effects work to be done on a movie based in Warcraft.

the production time was reasonable too.

I just hope the sets and green screen look like living, breathing environments. More Game of Thrones, less Hobbit.

they have now over a year for post production and editing. right?

Quite a bit over a year. Nearly two, actually.

march 2016. in the name of hollywood. haha.

they have enough time to change the whole movie with reshoots . a popular new trend hehe

Actually I wish more Hollywood movies would do this time-length for big tentpoles. That way, the artists aren't overworked, people have a better idea of what to do, etc.

i think both to short and to long is bad for hollywood. what can happen is that the studio changes the directors vision because another movie came out at that time and the studio decides to change it because they think they will make more money.

lets hope this will not happen.

p.s.: i think WB will not use the extra time to make the movie that they wanted to make july 2013(comic con). they will use this extra time to change the script . i bet at least 3 times.
