Sci-Fi Dune

Man this is really shaping up to be awesome with this new cast. I am very excited to see what they do with Chalamet and Skarsgard who I think can definitely pull this role off. Villeneuve has been on a role lately and I can't wait to see him tackle this material. I loved the Syfy channel movies as a kid and while I can understand the love for the Lynch film for some reason I just can't get into that film. Maybe one day down the line I will learn to appreciate more, but as of right now its my least favorite iteration of Dune.

Villeneuve also directed Jared Leto and Jeremy Renner. Ouch.

Both of those ain't bad actors. I know the narrative with Leto has already sailed on the internet, but he is far from being a bad actor. I trust in Villeneuve.

Both of those gave bad performances under Villeneuve's direction.

No Vile is talking about the 2004 Clive Own movie. Skarsgard played the Saxon leader.

For a while, I even considered Clive Owen as Gurney. How would he look with blonde hair though...

I always felt a classically handsome man as Gurney is a bit of a miscast. Patrick Stewart, as wonderful as he is, didn't strike me as right as the Groundskeeper Willie of House Atriedes. For Gurney, I'm thinking of Brendan Gleeson, Peter Capaldi or Graeme MacTavish.

I don't know if I have mentioned this in here before, but I'd love Sean Bean.

This is going to be so good... I still can't believe Villeneuve is directing this. I should just be greatful.
He's gonna crush it. This man released 5 movies in a 5 year time span and every one of them is great. Villeneuve from 2013 to 2017 has to be one of the greatest half a decades any director can lay claim to.

...just keeps getting better!

This looks awesome. As amazing as this is looking so far, a part of me so wishes for Jodo to get a huge budget to make his version of Dune. I have so been wanting to see his version of Dune for so long on the big screen

At this rate, I bet Duke Leto is going to someone huge, like Liam Neeson maybe.
