Sci-Fi Dune

Well, that's what Vanity Fair does for their exclusive movie previews, and considering how he's been teasing Dune articles for the following two days, I'm pretty sure that's what we'll get.

So incredibly excited for this. Might re-read the book during quarantine just in anticipation (would need to order a copy first though...). Also, yeah, Chalamet looks great as Paul

I'm still incredibly hyped for this and it's a struggle to not delve into the source material before the film. Usually I want to read a novel before seeing an adaptation, but since it's Villeneuve I will make an exception.

Ideally I wouldn't even watch any promo material at all but I'm not going to fool myself by thinking that will happen.

I recieved my copy last week. The plan is to get through it before the movie premieres.

I loved both Arrival and BR2049 so I'm really looking forward to this.

So this prompted me to go back and finish the David Lynch film, and I must say I thought it was just okay. Im fully confiden Denis is going to make a vastly superior film, so Im incredibly hyped. Blade Runner 2049 is easily one of the greatest sequels of all time, and better than the original.

I thought the movie Was extremely Boring (could have to do with the fact that I was like 10 years old or so lol) but I still thought it had an interesting premise and I still play the game (Dune 2000) once in a while.

My go to for my Dune fix is the two mini-series from the early 2000s. The first is pretty cheap, but I feel like they did a pretty good job adapting the material. The sequel has a lot more style and budget to it.

Oh man, that picture of Chalamet is so lame (the banner is nice!). Marketing is off to a bad start. Where are the cool stuff, dammit!

Nice to know that Caladan still has a Burberry store in the year 10191. But yeah, don't get angry people, this is bougie, pensive Paul, before he gets all Maud-ib-y. He's supposed to look like this at the beginning.

The pictures are great. If you're familiar with the material. But the article itself is so damn bland that it's hard to care about anything it describes.
