DVD choice: Buy spidey 3, wait for 3.1, do both or boycott both

I was wondering at this moment in time what your plans were for purchasing this film

I'll probably end up getting both. Assuming they put something worth watching on the 3.1 DVD. It'll probably be 2-3 years before it comes out, anyway. Like with the 2.1 DVD.

I have Spidey 1 and 2, and the 2.1 DVD. All of them are 2 disc sets. The only one disc Spidey DVDs I have are the 90's cartoon ones.

I wish they'd release them in season box sets.

I'll probably end up buying it. I really wanna listen to the directors commentry and get some insight into what their thinking was for some of the scenes. Don't know about 3.1, is there even gonna be one.

Like always, it depends on what comes with the revision.

I'll buy part 3, either way....but 3.1 would have to hav esome SERIOUSLY important/cool additions for me to buy it...and not just previews for part 4 or anything.

I'd buy another DVD of Spidey 3 if there is a TRULY extended, uncut version of it. I'm talking the original 187 minute film, with all the good stuff that was cut out of the final version of the film still intact.

I would love for them to actually call it an "Extended Edition"...

I have both Spider-Man 2 and 2.1, both two disc sets. As well the Deluxe Edition of Spider-Man 1 which came with a third disc of previously unseen features.

My only concern is that if when they bring out a Trilogy box set, they only include the 2.1 version of the second film (which I hate- see my thread). So as a precaution I might try and find another copy of Spidey 2 to replace it with!

Just curious, is that 187 something your making up or was there originally talk about that... I remember hearing something about the film at one point being around 160

My friend who runs the local movie theater told me the original cut was supposed to be close to 187 minutes long...don't know where he heard it, but that may have been including the preview real, so it may actually be closer to 160.

Spidey 3 was a good movie (Even thought their were some flaws) In the end the movie was still good and is worth buying on dvd .
