DVD Formats?

After reading this thread I am unsure whether to go right out and grab this DVD, or to wait for some sort of 'master' Watchmen dvd set...

I remember reading in this forum (months ago, seems like years now!) about a special master edition that was going to have the Black Freighter intercut into the movie...can anyone confirm this?

Does anyone have any information on DVD releases of this?

They are going to be releasing the theatrical version on DVD, the Director's Cut which is 3 hours 10 minutes, and includes Hollis Mason's death and some other scenes that were cut out of the theatrical version, and an "ultimate edition" which is the Director's Cut plus Tales from the Black Freighter/Under the Hood and is just over 4 hours long.

DVDs are coming out faster now. I wouldn't be surprised if it was in about 3 months.

From what I've read, the theatrical version and the director's cut will be released on DVD at the same time, possibly in July. The ultimate edition, which will be the "Black Freighter" short spliced in with the director's cut along with a load of special features, will be released later on this year. Probably in November or December.
